Altria Group said it would spin off its
international tobacco business on March 28,
freeing it to pursue cigarette sales more
aggressively outside the U.S. by separating
it from its American counterpart.
The two tobacco units each make Marlboros,
one of the world's top-selling cigarette
brands.
The details of the spinoff, tentatively
approved by the Altria board last August,
were announced as the company reported that
fourth-quarter profit fell 26 percent from
year-earlier results boosted by a gain
related to a reorganization in 2006.

urine samples. EdgeWater Research Partners,
initiated coverage this month on GeoPharma,
Inc. (GORX).
Gulf Western Petroleum Corporation (GWPC.OB)
up 3% with 60 thousand shares traded. Gulf
Western Petroleum Corporation (GWPC.OB)
engages in the exploration and development of
oil and natural gas reserves, recently
announced that the O'Neal Smith # 1 four
point flow test has been completed, and is
now flowing into the sales line, along with
the two previously drilled wells in this
project, which are also hooked into the sales
line.

La prima vittoria stagionale dell'inter e a
san Siro molto discussa sul Catania di Zenga
con la radiocronaca di Giuseppe Bisantis di
Tutto il calcio minuto per minuto su Radio 1
Rai.
Sorride l'Inter che a San Siro supera 2-1 il
Catania nell'anticipo serale della seconda
giornata della Serie A. Successo importante
per Mourinho, in una partita decisa
soprattutto dagli episodi. Ad approfittarne i
nerazzurri che sono riusciti a sopperire
all'inferiorità numerica per l'espulsione di
Muntari nel finale del primo tempo con una
grande ripresa. Nei primi 45' Plasmati ha
spaventato Mourinho portando in vantaggio il
Catania. Quaresma ha trovato subito il pari
per l'Inter prima del rosso a Muntari. In
avvio di ripresa il raddoppio nerazzurro per
un dubbio autogol di Terlizzi. Dopo il pari
con la Samp arrivano i primi 3 punti della
gestione Mourinho e l'Inter si porta
momentaneamente in testa alla classifica.
Passo indietro del Catania dopo l'esordio
vincente con il Genoa.
QUARESMA RISPONDE A PLASMATI - Avvio di gara
che promette, ma non mantiene. L'Inter parte
aggressiva, con il Catania pronto a replicare
in contropiede. La supremazia dei padroni di
casa e il maggior tasso tecnico cominciano a
farsi sentire, e gli ospiti decidono di non
rischiare arretrando il baricentro. La
partita perde così di intensità, e i minuti
scivolano via senza grandi emozioni. Nel
finale di tempo torna ad affacciarsi in
avanti la squadra di Zenga, e lo fa con
successo: al 42' Plasmati spaventa San Siro
portando in vantaggio il Catania con un
potente colpo di testa al termine di una
bell'azione. Neanche il tempo di esultare
perché un minuto più tardi arriva il pari
interista. Lo firma Quaresma con un colpo
piuttosto fortunoso e la complicità di
Bizzarri e di una deviazione di Mascara.
Risultato riequlibrato, ma l'Inter poco dopo
resta in dieci: Muntari viene espulso per un
fallo di reazione su Tedesco.
L'AUTOGOL - Lo svantaggio numerico viene
annullato con un pizzico di fortuna. In avvio
di ripresa i nerazzurri trovano il raddoppio
grazie a un autogol di Terlizzi. Proteste
degli ospiti: la palla non sembra superare la
linea di porta. Il vantaggio regala serenità
all'Inter che gioca in scioltezza e non
soffre più di tanto l'uomo in meno. Il
Catania, al contrario, non riesce ad
approfittare della superiorità numerica e
subisce le iniziative dei nerazzurri, più
