| Japan in 2400 photos, 4 minutes and 43 seconds. |
 |
These photos are from my trip last summer to
Japan. I went to Tokyo, Shimizu-cho (Wakayama
area), Kyoto, Tarumi, Hiroshima, Mijiyama,
and Hakodate (Hokaido).
Music: Breathe by Telepopmusik
Software: iPhoto, iMovie, on a G5, 1GB
memory.
Camera: Casio Exilim Z850
And for clarification, there is no video
footage in this clip. It's done entirely with
photos. No post-production editing was done
except opening sequence (slow zoom/cross
disolve transitions of airplane.) All other
effects were done with manual settings in
camera. Tags : Japan Tokyo Kyoto Hiroshima vacation stop motion photography telepopmusik breathe |

| 2400 mph in Super Monkey Ball 2 |
 |
NOTICE: I've got a video for 4500 mph which
dwarfs this one. This is, perhaps, the
fastest you've ever seen in Super Monkey ball
2 and no cheats are required for it to
happen. If you think falling off the top of
the gravity slider stage is fast (which gives
about 530 mph), that's slow compared to this
massive stunt. In fact, it's more than 4
times faster than that giving more than 20
times the height.
Here, I got tossed straight up at 2400 mph
and reach 80% of the clipping range. From
this height, the stage is but a mere spec and
the stage comes up so fast that you get
practically no time to react. Yet, even with
this, I attempt to make the goal. It's
easier than it seems. This particular level
(world 5-5 in story mode) allows for up to
4000 mph going straight up. Whether slow or
fast, it's mostly luck that influences the
success rate.
I did use Action Replay to stop the game
clock though. Without doing that, you
couldn't get the full experience of the
extreme speed as you'd run out of time just
after the speed reaches 999 mph on the way
back down from the first big toss up.
How do I know that it is 2400 mph when the
speed only shows 999? There's two ways.
First, when the ball falls, it falls at 79.5
mph per second without any joystick movement
(around 72 for 1 direction and 64 for 2 (2 is
diagonally)), (or about 0.098 meters per
second per frame). 30 seconds of this means
30*79.5 or roughly 2385 mph. The second
method, the easiest, is the bounce. The
speed after a bounce is based on this
formula: "(0.5+sin(ImpactAngle))/2". "sin"
is the sine function and ImpactAngle is that
of the direction the ball is going relative
to the plane of the polygon hit. The ball is
hitting perpendicularly (ImpactAngle is 90°)
so the speed is cut in half. After two
bounces, the speed becomes 600 mph. Working
backwards, doubling this twice, gives 2400
mph and that's how I got it. There is a 50
mph margin of error though due to the awkward
speed change with the controls. This is for
the most likely range, for 95% certainty.
The best method, for 100% certainty and 1.5
mph margin of error, is using debug mode
which requires Action Replay (I didn't have
it enabled here). Tags : Super Monkey Ball stunt bead screen theme park height supersonic 2400 mph fastest highest |

PilotView FPV offers a breakthrough in the
way you fly radio controlled aircraft. With
this system you will be flying from the
cockpit of your own model! Have you ever
dreamed of climbing into the cockpit with the
Blue Angels? Well, now you can! The
PilotViewFPV system was designed for use in
radio controlled model aircraft, but that is
only the beginning as far as possible uses.
PilotViewFPV may be used in radio controlled
cars and boats, and helium balloons and kites
present exciting possibilities. Extreme
sports participants in skydiving,
snowboarding, and mountain biking can now
share their experiences real time with
friends and family! The future is here now.
