I start with a review of the N-Gage gaming
platform [1] which is soon
to be available on the following Nokia
phones: N81, N82, N93, N93i,
N95, N95 8GB, N96, N78, N95 NAM. I get the
sense that N-Gage is about
bringing a much richer gaming experience than
we seen before on a
phone. The graphics are impressive and the
games I tried were
challenging.
A new Palm Centro is available on the AT&T
wireless network. Rather
than review it, I'm giving one away to a Geek
Brief viewer. The
contest details are at www.BigTrip.tv [2].
Unfortunately Sharper Image [3] filed for
bankruptcy. Earth Class
Mail is a service that let's you avoid
dealing with paper mail if
you'd rather go 100% digital. HP will soon
have an Ultra Mobile PC [4]
that you can get with either Linux or Windows
installed.

| Metra Electric 316, 315 at 71st & South Shore Dr. |

It's 9:30 on a beautiful, bright, cloudless
Saturday morning at 71st and South Shore Dr.,
and the Metra Electric South Shore trains are
single-tracking today; the southbound train
is several minutes late.
Chicago's South Shore neighborhood and its
main drag, 71st Street, went through some
rough times in the 70's, 80's and 90's, but
it's coming back -- sloooowly. You still need
to watch your back, and your front.
Things got so bad that Jackson Park
Highlands, 16 square blocks of palatial
mansions bounded by Stony Island, 67th Street
(the southern boundary of Jackson Park), 71st
Street and Jeffrey, walled itself off from
the rest of South Shore with a fortress of
cul-de-sacced streets and traffic-calming
islands at some intersections. There's one
way in to this man-made enclave, and one way
out. Something like Hancock Park in Los
Angeles.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. lives in Jackson
Park Highlands. Remember that the next time
he starts talking about "inclusion".
That elegant twin-towered structure is the
entrance to South Shore Country Club Park,
where the Chicago Police Department's
Equestrian Unit is housed. Amazingly, nobody
hassled me. I guess they know an Urkel clone
when they see one;-)
Notice how the South Shore station, which the
trains arrive and leave from, mimics the
architecture of the Country Club, right down
to the reddish-brown stucco and the peaked
roof.

stand the sight of his face, it makes me
sick!
Love: Yeah yeah..
Aizen: Captain please, maybe you should not
make that face in front of everyone?
Hirako: Everyone is here already?
Love: Just about.
Hirako: The 11th division didn't come?
Love: He is probably just playing hooky as
usual and doesn't seem to care what is said
here ever anyway.
Hirako: I dunno Kenpachi real well since he
never seems to be at these meetings. I wonder
why we have to have a fellow captain who acts
like such a pig.
Love: Well there is not much you can do, the
seat of 11th captain is being held by
Kenpachi whether we like it or not. If you
want to blame anyone blame his predecessor.
Doesn't say who, probably Kyouraku: I don't
really admire you lot talking smack about
people.
Kyouraku, Ukitake and glasses (either Nanao
or Risa) enter.
Love: Ah, hello, early today Shunsui san?
Kyouraku: What was that? Normally I am the
first one here.
Glasses Nanao/Risa?: You can thank me for
kicking that ass into gear today!
Kyouraku: Save that potty mouth for when we
aren't in front of other captains.
Ukitake: I don't see Hikifune, she isn't
coming today?
Kyouraku: It seems she went over there
already to check it out.
Ukitake: In such a hurry, it's not as if it's
an urgent matter, it would be better to do it
slowly.
Kyouraku: Indeed.
Hirako: but it's kinda like that you
know...... this rushed changing of captains
is bad. Rose has only just recently entered
the 3rd division as captain and now the 12th
is also changing... I wonder if the Gotei 13
will be okay.
Kyouraku: There are often times when
everything is changing, we just happen to be
in one of those times now.
Kyouraku: There's no one really left from 100
years ago except me Ukitake and Yama jii
right?
Ukitake: That's not true captain Unohana is
still here.
Kyouraku: Oh yeah that's true, I forgot about
the great senpai, I'll be scolded... scary
scary...but really, the 3rd has retired, the
12th has been promoted and there is no way
the captain of 10th is dead. Its peaceful
enough isn't it?
Aizen: Promotion!?
Hirako: Oi Sousuke!
Aizen: I'm sorry captain, please excuse me
for intruding on the conversation.
Kyouraku: Nah, its okay, what did you want to
say Sousuke kun?
Aizen: The fact is that we are never informed
of such things...so 12th division captain
Hikifune has not retired but has been
promoted you say?
Kyouraku: That's how it is.
Aizen: Has the captain joined the central 46?
Although I'm not sure I would think that it's
most likely promoted captains join the
central 46.
Kyouraku: It's not central 46, she has joined
the Royal Guard, Squad Zero.
Aizen: !! Royal... Guard...
Captain we don't know the name of: Oh finally
you are here new guy, Jii san has been
waiting for you.
Urahara: Ehhh? Hmmm could it be I am the last
to arrive?
Hirako: Oh...some smart guy has arrived?
Aizen looks up: That's right...

Shinji and Hiyori banter (she has a foul
mouth even then lol), Love who is a rather
new 3rd division captain joins them. It's
mentioned that Unohana was also one of the
more senior captains entering not long after
Shunsui and Ukitake (so I guess the healer
Vizard was never captain of 4th). The 12 div
captain is being promoted into the royal
guard and Sousuke kun is asking a lot of
questions out of place.

| John Deere 316 Tractor |

This is a used John Deere 316 tractor. It is
in very good condition. Engine is very
powerful, 16 hp. Has NEVER broken down.
Always stored inside. No hourmeter, but
probably 600 hours. Runs great. Regular
maintenance always performed. Tiires in good
condition; one has been plugged, other 3 are
good. Hydrostatic transmission, no gears to
shift. Has hydraulic deck lift, just pull a
lever and it goes up. Also has front
auxiliary hydraulics on front, for
snowblower, blade, etc. (accessories not
included). Belts are okay. Seat cover is rip
free. Has bright headlights. It has electric
start, just turn the key. It has a trailer
hitch, for pulling trailers. It also has a 2
bag bagger, works great. PTO is electric,
just flip a switch to turn it on. Used this
mower once a week at old house to mow 2
acres. Now we have 6 acres, and it is no
longer sufficient for our needs. To see the
