| Sir Arthur C Clarke: 90th Birthday Reflections |

The world's best known writer of science
fiction, Sir Arthur C Clarke was the first to
propose satellite communications in 1945. One
of his short stories inspired the World Wide
Web, while another was later expanded to make
the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, which he
co-wrote with director Stanley Kubrick. He
has lived in Sri Lanka since 1956.

| The Budokwai 90th Anniversary Judo Video |

Judo video to celebrate the 90th anniversary
of Europe's oldest judo club, The Budokwai,
featuring videos and images of Neil Adams
(1981 World Champion and double Olympic
silver medalist) and Angelo Parisi (1980
Olympic gold medalist and 4 time Olympic
medalist from 1972 to 1984) who started his
judo career at The Budokwai and won his first
Olympic medal for Great Britain. Also
featuring past Budokwai instructors including
European Superstars Champion Brian Jacks,
Olympic and World Champion Yasuhiro Yamashita
and World judo champions Katsuhiko
Kashiwazaki, Kenzo Nakamura, Hiratako Okada.
Also included are Budokwai members Ray
Stevens (Olympic judo silver), world quality
coach Roy Inman and Danny Kingston (European
judo Champion). Others featured who have
practised at the club include Nicola
Fairbrother (1983 World Champion), Karen
Briggs (5 times World Champion) and Graeme
Randall (1999 World Champion). Archive
photographs included show Professor Jigaro
Kano visiting The Budokwai in the 1920s and
the world's first international judo
tournament when The Budokwai visited
Frankfurt and Weisbaden in Germany during the
