| Madge Allsop from the Dame Edna TV shows is 100 today! |

A very happy 100th birthday to Emily Perry,
aka Madge Allsop.
Emily now lives at Brinsworth House,
Twickenham, a retirement home for members of
the acting and entertainment professions.
Incredibly, she only retired three years ago.
She ran a very successful children's dancing
school, The Patricia Perry Academy of
Dancing, for 25 years.
Her last TV appearence was as a guest star in
an episode of Last Of The Summer Wine, but
she is best known for her character Madge
Allsop in various Dame Edna TV shows spanning
five years in the late 80's & early 90's.

UPDATE:
Emily died in February 2008. Her death is
mentioned on the BBC website. They have put a
link to this video.
