Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, sometimes
called Maladie de Charcot, or, in the United
States, Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a
progressive, usually fatal, neurodegenerative
disease caused by the degeneration of motor
neurons, the nerve cells in the central
nervous system that control voluntary muscle
movement. As a motor neuron disease, the
disorder causes muscle weakness and atrophy
throughout the body as both the upper and
lower motor neurons degenerate, ceasing to
send messages to muscles. Unable to function,
the muscles gradually weaken, develop
fasciculations (twitches) because of
denervation, and eventually atrophy because
of that denervation. The patient may
ultimately lose the ability to initiate and
control all voluntary movement except of the
eyes.
This add reflects on the possible loss of the
use of your legs. Horrible disease that needs
to be treated.

| Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: ALS and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy |

http://www.balancedhealthtoday.com
"I was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS in Dec.
2005. My speech was leaving me. I started
Tibetan herbs because a friend had reversed
speech problems due to taking them. I still
take the herbs but my speech has become
impossible to understand. I have a feeding
tube now and am gaining weight-yippee! A year
ago I started hyperbaric oxygen therapy with.
I have not had the tiredness that most ALS
patients seem to deal with. I am playing
golf, doing yoga and pilates and jog/walking
5k races..I volunteer for Hospice.,Lifehouse
and am a National official for USA Track and
Field covering the meets at Cal and Stanford
and the NCAA Nationals. .I credit this to my
oxygen treatments- I started at 5 times a
week and now take it 4 times a week...It is
enjoyable for me as I can meditate ,read or
sleep in the chamber.I am happy doing this as
it cannot hurt me and only help me.!! Tags : Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Theapy Chambers HBOT Alternative Cancer Treatments Therapy |

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Lou Gehrig's
Disease
A review of the scientific literature reveals
an absence of clinical trials investigating
the use of cannabinoids for ALS treatment.
However, recent preclinical findings indicate
that cannabinoids can delay ALS progression,
lending support to anecdotal reports by
patients that cannabinoids may be efficacious
in moderating the disease's development and
in alleviating certain ALS-related symptoms
such as pain, appetite loss, depression and
drooling.[1]
Writing in the March 2004 issue of the
journal Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis & Other
Motor Neuron Disorders, investigators at the
California Pacific Medical Center in San
Francisco reported that the administration of
THC both before and after the onset of ALS
symptoms staved disease progression and
prolonged survival in animals compared to
untreated controls.

Prohibition:
"Prohibition...goes beyond the bounds of
reason in that it attempts to control a man's
