| Coal Chamber "Loco" |
 |
Coal Chamber was formed in 1994 by
vocalist/lyricist B. Dez Fafara and guitarist
Miguel "Meegs" Rascon, who met through a
classified ad; the two added drummer Mike
"Mikee" Cox and bassist Rayna Foss, the
latter of whom heard about auditions through
her roommate, Fafara's future wife. Tags : Coal Chamber Los Angeles Alternative Metal LA Music Videos |

| Acoustic Levitation Chamber |
 |
This is an acoustic levitation chamber I
designed and built in 1987 as a micro-gravity
experiment for NASA related subject matter.
The 12 inch cubed plexiglas Helmholtz
Resonant Cavity has 3 speakers attached to
the cube by aluminium acoustic waveguides.
By applying a continuous resonant(600Hertz)
sound wave, and by adjusting the amplitude
and phase relationship amongst the 3
speakers; I was able to control levitation
and movement in all 3 (x,y,z) axis of the
ambient space.
This research was used to show the effects of
micro-gravity conditions that exist in the
space shuttle environment in orbit, but done
here on Earth in a lab. Tags : acoustic levitation resonant waves |

Lyrics:
Down beyond these city streets
through gutters filled with black debris
In alleys void of any light
where nameless things live out of sight
Down through the scrapers of the sky past
neon words glowing all night
Echoes my name between each car
"Are you happy where you are?"
Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
Its back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial
Can we be saved? has the damage all been
done?
Is it too late to reverse what we've become?
A lesson to learn at a crucial point in time
What's mine was always yours, and yours is
mine
Let's go!
And so we carry on each day as if our lives
were not so grey
While every breath that we take, we only
suffocate
Brush past a myriad of scenes
A homeless vet crashed on Wall Street, a
single mom of 3, a TV personality
Blind to this impending fate
They let the world carry their weight
Its back breaks with every mile
But they all live in denial
Can we be saved, has the damage all been
done?
Is it too late to reverse what we've begun
A lesson to learn at a crucial point in time
What's mine was always yours, and yours is
mine
Save us from what we have become tonight
Eyes glazed with distrust, no sense of wrong
or right
Save us from what we have become tonight
Eyes glazed with distrust, no sense of wrong
or right
Save us from what we have become tonight
Eyes glazed with distrust, no sense of wrong
or right
Can we be saved, has the damage all been
done?
Is it too late to reverse what we've become?
A lesson to learn at a crucial point in time
Whats mine is always yours and yours is mine Tags : rock rise against |
