Dublin 2006
Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and is
a beautiful old city, but it is growing fast.
We hope that it keeps it old charm while
becoming a modern cosmopolitan city. This was
the second visit to Dublin for Adele and I,
the first for Mike. We got from Dalkey to
Dublin by the Dart Line getting off at the
Tara Station which is in walking distance
from O'Connell Street. The best way to get
around Dublin to most of the different sites
is the Hop-on Hop-off Tour Bus. Some of the
sites we visited are on other Slideshows like
Kilmainham Prison, Guinness Brewery, Dublin
Castle, Christ Church, and St. Patrick
Cathedral. We also visited Trinity College
with its Book of Kells and the National
Museum of Ireland both do not allow picture
taking, but are must sees on any visit to
Dublin. Tags : Dublin Ireland |

| Dublin v Kerry 1977 - Best Gaelic Football Game Ever |
 |
I was at this game at Croke Park in 1977,
sitting in the Cusack stand with my father,
watching this clash between the two greatest
teams of the modern era. The Dubs were at
their peak, having beaten Kerry the year
before in the All-Ireland final. The two had
also met in the 1975 final, which Kerry won,
so the rivalry was keen. This is the
All-Ireland semi-final of 1977. Kerry lost
this one, but would exact sweet revenge in
the 1978 and 1979 finals and go on to win the
4-in-a-row. But, for me, Bernard Brogan's
goal remains one of the sublime sporting
moments in my life ... Tags : Dublin Kerry GAA Dubs Gaelic Football 1977 Croke Park |
