As early explorers of the MP3.com landscape,
Fisher became the first band signed to a
major label deal on the basis of the strength
of it's musical downloads.
They garnered 3 million downloads of their
single "I Will Love You" before most bands
figured out there were other ways than
brick-and-mortar to reach listeners. With no
publicity machine behind them, they built
enough buzz on their own to be profiled in
Time, Entertainment Weekly, and the Los
Angeles Times as vanguards of the digital
music revolution -- and be invited to the
coveted desk side seat next to Jay Leno after
tearing it up on The Tonight Show.
Currently both members of Fisher are focusing
their efforts on continued success in
commercials and television music.

http://www.ted.com Why do we crave love so
much, even to the point that we would die for
it? To learn more about our very real, very
physical need for romantic love, Helen Fisher
and her research team took MRIs of people in
love -- and people who had just been dumped. Tags :TEDTEDtalkstalksHelenFisherlovebraincognitive
