This piece is in reference to the "Heaven's
Gate"
UFO cult who, in 1997, committed mass suicide
(39 of the members). They believed that when
they left their "earthly containers (their
bodies)," they would meet up with God, whom
they believed was traveling in a spaceship
that was - at that time - hiding behind the
Hale-Bopp comet.
The video may seem to some crass and
insensitive, and perhaps, to some extent, it
is, but I believe it's entirely possible that
the Heaven's Gate people may have been right,
and may, in fact, be in their Heaven right
now, in a state of eternal bliss, and
therefore, likely don't give a shit about
this video. Their religion is, at least to
me, as plausible or implausible as any other
religion.
The groups leader, Marshall Applewhite, was
referred to as "Do," as in musical notes -
"Do, Re, Mi, etc." His associate, "Ti," had
already left her earthly container some
twelve years prior to the 1997 mass
departure.
A bit of trivia: The group members were fans
of the TV shows The X-Files and Star trek;
One of the 39 cult members was Thomas
Nichols, whose sister, Nichelle, played Lt.
Uhura on "Star Trek."

The song was was written, performed, and
recorded by my friend Kevin and I back in
1997. The images I found on the Internet.
