Part 2 further illuminates the forms of
government, showing that some are merely
abstractions that have no real existence and
remain in the realm of pure theory. This
section begins by showing what forms of
government actually exist in reality, shows
how the proper amount of government supports
freedom, how the different collectivist forms
that do exist always lead to oligarchy (rule
by a few over the masses) and what type of
economic activity is possible under each. It
shows that democracy - mob rule - is
antithetical to freedom, negating property
and individual inalienable rights, being
oriented to the mob, under a tyranny of the
masses which the elites exploit.
Part two also explains the purpose and intent
of our founding fathers in establishing a
Republic. Nowhere in the Declaration of
Independence or in the Consitution will you
find the word, "Democracy" and part two
explains why the founders feared that most
loathsome form of government and how our
current situation resembles that of the Roman
empire which ended up in a tyranny of the
elite, having devolved from a Republic to a
Democracy and from there to an Oligarchy.
Finally, Part 2 begins to touch on the
subject of the misapprehension of the alleged
struggle between capitalism and communism,
which is further developed in part 3.
