Here's a video that I shot on Opening Night
at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
After the Yankees rallied to take a 3-2 lead
in the 7th inning, reliever Joba Chamberlain
came in a picked up where he left off from
last season, striking out 2. This is the
final pitch of the 8th, where Joba punches
out future Hall of Famer Frank Thomas. Tags :jobachamberlainyankeesfrankthomasbluejaysopeningdaymlbstrikeout
This pitcher threw 98MPH deep into the game
today with effective hammers and change-ups.
He was 97-98 numerous pitches in the 6th, 7th
and 8th innings. Incredible showing and very
reminiscent of a young Roger Clemens with the
explosive FBs and sinking fastballs, to boot.
This may be the answer Cashman is looking
for, IMHO. FWIW Tags :CashmanChamberlainYankees
