From the Melty Blood: Act Cadenza (ver.B PS2)
tournament at the seventh Tokyo Game Action
ranking battles on Nov. 4th, 2006. This
tournament was held in a round-robin format,
with all players entered in the tournament
playing each other in a best of 3 game
series.
The player on the left side is KoreanDJ
(playing default V.Akiha), one of MA's top
Super Smash Bros. Meele players, but has only
started playing the game in the last couple
of weeks. The player on the right is Dipstick
(playing creamy Nanaya, a change for him),
who has the most experience in fighting games
out of anyone in the tournament and the most
knowledge about the game, but somehow has the
least amount of actual versus experience in
this game (guess its hard to find competition
living in a cave).
Both players come into the battle with 12
points, effectively making this the deciding
match of the tournament. KoreanDJ has been
constantly showing heavy pressure, but his
actual pressure strings and combos are
bootleg as anything. Dipstick has a more
fundamentally sound but very basic Nanaya,
and has shown some trouble judging space and
movement options properly.
Who wins the tournament? You'll have to
watch.
