1928 in New York City) is a former American
professional basketball player. The 6'1", 175

winning six championship rings, being voted

skills, earning him the nicknames "The Cooz"
and "Houdini of the Hardwood".After his
player career, he coached the Royals for
several years, even making a short comeback
for the Royals at age 41, and finally became
a broadcaster for Celtics games. He was

Bio
Ovinton J'Anthony "O. J." Mayo (born November
5, 1987 in Huntington, West Virginia) is an
American basketball player currently with the
Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA. He signed with
the team on July 8, 2008. He played college
basketball for the University of Southern
California (USC). As an athlete at Huntington
High School, he was considered by several
media outlets to be the best high school
basketball player in the United States. He
chose to enter the 2008 NBA Draft instead of
completing his three remaining years of
college eligibility; when he chose Bill Duffy
and Associates as his agency, he lost his
NCAA eligibility. He was taken third overall
by the Minnesota Timberwolves on June 26,
2008.Following the draft, Minnesota traded
him and three other players to the Memphis
Grizzlies in exchange for Kevin Love and
three players. Mayo was a part of the 2008
U.S. Select Team to help get the Olympic Team
ready for the 2008 Summer Olympics in
Beijing.In 2006, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound,
18-year-old junior guard was selected as Mr.
Basketball of Ohio for the second consecutive
season, in addition to being named Associated
Press Division III Player of the Year for the
second consecutive season. He averaged nearly
29 points, nine rebounds, and six assists per
game. He also led his team to three
consecutive AP poll titles and garnered much
attention from the media, appearing in the
pages of Sports Illustrated among other
publications. Much like another high school
star from Ohio (St. Vincent-St. Mary High
School), LeBron James, Mayo drew large enough
crowds to force his team into seeking larger
venues to support the growing crowds, and
often attracted National Basketball
Association stars such as James and Carmelo
Anthony to watch his games playing for the
D-1 Greyhounds He graduated in May 2007 and
signed a letter of intent to enroll at USC.
He scored an impressive 29 on the ACT,
placing him in the 95th percentile nationally
Mayo enrolled at the University of Southern
California in Summer 2007, taking two
classes. While waiting for the season to
begin, he began playing pickup basketball
against current NBA players Kobe Bryant, Sam
Cassell, Kevin Garnett, Mike Dunleavy, Jr.,
Jason Kidd, Adam Morrison, J. J. Redick.Mayo
began his freshman season in the 9681 loss to
Mercer with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4
assists. In the following 7447 victory over
The Citadel, Mayo recorded 16 points, 7
rebounds and 5 assists. In the 8575 victory
over South Carolina, he posted 29 points, 4
rebounds and 4 assists. In the 9282 loss to
California, Mayo recorded a then-high 34
points. In the 7358 loss to Washington State,
he posted 22 points and 7 rebounds. In the
9586 win over Oregon, Mayo recorded 25 points
and 8 rebounds, then followed that up with 23
points against Arizona and 20 points against
Arizona State. He then had 29 points in the
7359 win over Washington. In the 8175 win
over Oregon, Mayo recorded 32 points, then
had 21 points in the following victory over
Oregon State. In the 8066 loss to Arizona,
Mayo posted a career-high 37 points. In the
2008 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball
Tournament, the Trojans lost to UCLA,
featuring Kevin Love, in the semi-finals.
Both Mayo and Love were selected to the All
Pac-10 tournament team. In his NCAA
Tournament debut with the Trojans, Mayo
scored 20 points as USC was beaten by Kansas
State and freshman Michael Beasley. Mayo did
not return for his sophomore season, opting
to enter the 2008 NBA Draft On June 26, 2008,
O. J. Mayo was selected 3rd overall in the
2008 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Later that day, he was traded to the Memphis
Grizzlies, along with Marko Jaric, Antoine
Walker, and Greg Buckner, swapping them for
the 5th overall pick Kevin Love, Mike Miller,
Brian Cardinal, and Jason Collins.[19] In his
NBA Summer League debut, Mayo had 15 points
to lead the Grizzlies to a 88-75 win over the
New Orleans Hornets.

Childress emerged as one of two promising
rookie talents for the Hawks, along with Josh
Smith; the two showed improved play, minutes,
and production. Childress ranked third among

Small Biography
is a retired American basketball player who
played at the shooting guard position in the
NBA from 19862000. He attended Lyons Township
High School in LaGrange, Illinois, graduating
in 1981. He led his team to the Illinois
Sweet 16 in his senior year coached by Ron
Nikcevich and still holds individual team
records in free throw shooting. Also played
shortstop for the baseball team. Redshirted
at Iowa State University (ISU) in 1981, he
was a campus walk-on from 19821986, the son
of a high school basketball coach became an
all-conference player in the Big Eight
Conference, playing for legendary coach
Johnny Orr. As a point guard he guided the
Cyclones to the Sweet 16 of the 1986 NCAA
tournament. His shining moment came at the
Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota when,
after first hitting a shot to tie the game
and send it to overtime, Jeff hit the game
winning shot in overtime, a 26-ft jumper at
the buzzer, to give ISU its first NCAA
tournament victory since 1944, beating Miami
(Ohio), March 14 1986, 81-79 (Ron Harper was
the starting shooting guard for Miami). Two
days later, he led the Cyclones to the NCAA
Tournament "Sweet Sixteen," in a 72-69 upset
of second seed Michigan. Orr, who left
Michigan to coach at Iowa State, called it
the greatest victory of his career. Hornacek
left ISU with a Big-8 record of 665 career
assists, still an Iowa State school record,
and 1,313 career points. He was the 22nd pick
in the second round (46th overall) of the
1986 NBA Draft, by the Phoenix Suns. He
became a star for the Suns, but after his
sixth and most productive season, he was
traded (along with Andrew Lang and Tim Perry)
to the Philadelphia 76ers for Charles
Barkley. With Hersey Hawkins, the Sixers'
leading scorer, in the shooting guard
position, Hornacek was assigned point guard
responsibilities. Although he had a career
high 6.9 assists per game in his only
complete season with the Sixers (1992-1993
season), his stint as a point guard was not a
success (26 wins, 56 losses). Midway through
the 1993-1994 season (February 24) he was
traded to the Utah Jazz (for Jeff Malone)
where he could return to his natural shooting
guard position alongside John Stockton.
Hornacek was also one of the best on offense
in the NBA in moving without the ball,
something essential for a shooting guard. He
was an instrumental part of the Jazz's drive
to the NBA Finals in 1997 and 1998, where the
Jazz lost to the Chicago Bulls both times. He
remained with the Jazz until knee problems
forced his retirement in 2000. On 23 November
1994, he set a then-NBA record with eight
consecutive three-pointers in a single game
without a miss against the Seattle
SuperSonics. That same season, he also tied
an NBA record 11 consecutive three-pointers
without a miss, from December 30, 1994
through 11 January 1995. One of the best free
throw shooters in the league, once making 67
in a row (12 November 1999 January 6, 2000),
one of his most well-known mannerisms was
stroking his cheek three times before every
free-throw attempt. That was his way of
saying hello to his three children during the
game.He holds a career free throw percentage
of 87.7, 12th highest in NBA history.
Hornacek won the NBA three-point competition
twice, and along with Natalie Williams, star
of the Utah Starzz, won the All-Star 2-Ball
Challenge.Hornacek's #14 jersey was retired
by the Utah Jazz, for whom he played from
1994 to 2000, and helped get them to the NBA
Finals in 1997 and 1998. Coach Jerry Sloan
and Jazz announcer "Hot Rod" Hundley referred
to Hornacek affectionately as "Horny". He was
hired for the 2007-2008 season by the Jazz to
be as a special assistant coach and to help
Andrei Kirilenko and others with their
shooting.In May 2008 he interviewed for a
coaching position with the Chicago Bulls,
meeting with general manager John Paxson. He
put off seeking a coaching position until his
kids were older so the extensive travel
wouldn't put excess pressure on the
family.Hornacek currently resides in Paradise
Valley, Arizona with wife Stacy and their
children, Ryan (20), Tyler (18) and Abigail
(14). Ryan attends the University of Notre
Dame, Tyler attends Brophy College
Preparatory, and Abigail Xavier College
Preparatory.

Biography:
Chris Nicholas Duhon (born August 31, 1982,
in Mamou, Louisiana) is an American
professional basketball player for the
Chicago Bulls of the NBA. Duhon was a guard
for the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball
team from 2000 to 2004. In his senior year at
Salmen High School in Slidell, Louisiana,
Duhon was voted Mr. Basketball for the state
of Louisiana, made the McDonald's
All-American Team, and won the McDonald's
Three Point Shootout. Duhon arrived at Duke
in 2000, where he was an important role
player, playing backup to point guard Jason
Williams. Following the injury of fellow
teammate Carlos Boozer, Duhon was placed into
the starting lineup as point guard, with
Williams moving to shooting guard. The Duke
Blue Devils went on to win the 2001 National
Championship, and Duhon was named the 2001
Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the
Year. His sophomore season, Duhon again
started in the Duke backcourt alongside
fellow guard Jason Williams. That season,
Duhon's reputation grew for his defense,
court vision, and versatility as a point
guard, averaging 2.3 steals per game, and 5.9
assists per game. From his junior season on,
Duhon became an instrumental leader for the
Blue Devils. In the 2002-2003 season, he led
a young Duke team to the Sweet 16, and
averaged 9.2 points, 6.4 assists, and 2.2
steals per game and was among the top 10
assists leaders in NCAA Division I history.
In his senior season, Duhon averaged 10
points, 6 assists, 2.2 steals and 4.1
rebounds per game, en route to another Final
Four. Duhon finished his career as Duke's
all-time leader in steals (300) and minutes
played (4,813), and second in assists (819).
He had one of Duke's top assists to turnover
ratios as well. In Duhon's four years, Duke
compiled a 123-21 record, making Duhon the
second winningest player in Duke and Atlantic
Coast Conference history, behind Duke's Shane
Battier (131 wins). He helped the Blue Devils
win three ACC Championships. Duhon was a
finalist for the 2004 Wooden Award, the
Naismith Award, and Rupp Trophy awards. He
left as the only Atlantic Coast Conference
player to record 1,200 points, 800 assists,
475 rebounds, 300 steals, and 125 three-point
shots.
In June 2004, Duhon was selected as the 38th
pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Chicago
Bulls. In his rookie season with the Bulls,
Duhon played in all 82 games, averaging 5.9
points and 4.9 assists per game.[3] Duhon's
best game in his rookie year was against the
Atlanta Hawks. Duhon led the Bulls in a
comeback against the Hawks, where they
trailed at the half. Duhon hit 8 of 9
three-point field-goals in the game, scoring
24 points. This was a franchise record before
Ben Gordon, a fellow 2004 draft pick, hit 9
threes the following season. The Bulls
re-signed Duhon for the 2005-06 season. In
the 2005-2006 season, Duhon averaged 8.7
points per game and 5.0 assists per game. In
2005, after Hurricane Katrina, Duhon's Stand
Tall Foundation handed out over 3,000 boxes
of supplies worth $450,000 for residents of
his hometown Slidell. In January 2007, Duhon
was suspended one game by the Bulls for
missing practice the day prior because he
claimed he overslept.
Duhon played a key role in the Bulls winning
their first playoff series since the Michael
Jordan era against the Miami Heat. The Bulls
swept the Heat four games to zero. Duhon
provided key minutes as the sixth man in the
series against Miami, where he played more
minutes because of the foul trouble Kirk
Hinrich was plagued with throughout the
series. Duhon did not play in Game 3 of the
Bulls series against the Pistons because of a
missed film session. After the Bulls fell in
a 3-0 hole, a deficit no team has come back
from in the NBA Playoffs, Duhon has played
solidly off the bench. He hit a key
three-pointer in Game 4 that forced the lead
to 23 points. In a relatively easy Game 5
win, Duhon scored 8 points off of 2 threes
and a driving lay-up.

Biography:
North Carolina) is an American professional
basketball player currently with the Seattle
SuperSonics of the National Basketball
Association. He attended Dr. Phillips High
School in Orlando, Florida and the University
of Georgia. He is the son of former 13-year
NBA veteran Gerald Wilkins and nephew of
nine-time NBA All-star Dominique Wilkins. If
there was NBA royalty, Sonics swingman Damien
Wilkins would come from a noble line.
Wilkins' father, Gerald, played 14 years in
the NBA with five teams and was a long-time
starter. His uncle, Dominique (a.k.a. the
Human Highlight Film), was a nine-time
All-Star and is the Atlanta Hawks all-time
leading scorer. After a quick start to his
NCAA career at North Carolina State, Damien
entered the 2001 NBA Draft but decided to
withdraw and transfer to Georgia. There, he
had two solid but unspectacular seasons and
went undrafted in 2004. A renewed diligence
in the weight room helped Wilkins have a big
summer league and shine in preseason action
for the Sonics, allowing him to make the
team. After biding his time and working after
practice, Wilkins got his shot in late March
of his rookie season and came through,
scoring a career-high 21 points, including
the game-winning basket, at Portland on March
24. Wilkins would start seven games the rest
of the way as the Sonics battled injuries. He
proved himself in the playoffs when injuries
struck again, finishing with 15 points, six
rebounds and five steals in the Sonics Game 4
win over San Antonio. A restricted free agent
in the summer of 2005, Wilkins received an
offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves that
the Sonics chose to match. In the 2007
season, the departure of Rashard Lewis and
Ray Allen gave way to start Damien Wilkins.
On November 16, 2007 he scored a career high
41 point and grabbed 9 rebounds in a game
against the Atlanta Hawks.
