Fischer-Z - Cruise Missiles
Year: 1981 | Album: Red Skies over Paradise
Lyrics:
We share a common destination.
Each person has their time to die.
But men are speeding up our journey.
By seeing what they can destroy with their
Cruise missiles (We're living near those).
Cruise missiles (We're looking for those).
Cruise missiles (They're not five years
away).
They're building shelters for the privileged.
There won't be room for you and me.
So read your pamphlets of precaution.
They'll make a laugh until you see that those
Cruise missiles (We're living near those).
Cruise missiles (We're looking for those).
Cruise missiles (They're not five years
away).
Extra cruise missiles chorus
They claim the ultimate solution.
To all the problems that we face.
It's pointing rockets at the Russions.
And hope they don't ed up in Greece. All
those
Cruise missiles (We're living near those).
Cruise missiles (We're looking for those).
Cruise missiles (They're not five years
away).
They're not 5 years away.
They're not 5 miles away.
They're not 5 miles away. Tags : Fischer-Z Fischer John Watts Cruise Missiles |

| Iran Test-Fired 9 Missiles |
 |
Tension arose anew in the gulf on Wednesday,
July 9 when Iran test-fired nine missiles
that are capable of hitting Israel, making a
dramatic show of its readiness to strike back
if the United States or Israel attacks it
over its nuclear program. The timing and
location of the tests were clearly aimed to
send a message, that Tel Aviv would be "set
on fire" if Iran is attacked.
Months ago, a Cargo ship hired by the US
military reportedly fired warning shots at
suspected armed Iranian boats in April 25th
Friday, as the Pentagon sharpened its
warnings to Tehran. Westward Venture cargo
ship chartered by the US Defense Department
was traveling in international waters when
two unidentified small boats approached them.
The boats did not respond to radio queries
and a warning flare, the cargo ship's onboard
security team fired "a few bursts" of machine
gun and rifle warning shots, according to US
Navy website. "The small boats left the area
a short time later," she said by telephone.
"They were able to avoid a serious incident
by following the procedures that we use." -
From CNN breaking news.
TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iran denied a report
that several of its boats taunted a U.S. Navy
vessel in the Persian Gulf on Thursday
evening of April 12 night, according to IRNA,
Iran's official news agency. A U.S. military
official told CNN Friday that the USS
Typhoon, a small patrol craft, was approached
by three small Iranian boats in a "taunting
manner."
"There has been no confrontation between
Iranian boats and the U.S. [Fifth] Fleet,"
IRNA quoted an unnamed Iranian source as
saying. The U.S. military source said U.S.
Navy officers conducted bridge-to-bridge
communications with the Iranian boats and two
of them then turned away. But one came within
200 yards of the Typhoon, prompting it to
fire a warning flare. The Iranian boat then
turned away.
Islamic Republic News Agency (INRA) confirms
that Tehran is expanding its contested atomic
drive. Iran has started operating hundreds of
new uranium-enriching centrifuges at its main
nuclear plant, the official news agency said
on Friday, April 11 confirming Tehran is
expanding its contested atomic drive.
Iran has started to install 6,000 new
centrifuges at its uranium enrichment
facility, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said
on April 8, Tuesday, an expansion of nuclear
work the West fears is aimed at building
bombs. Diplomats in Vienna told Reuters last
week that Tehran was installing advanced
enrichment centrifuges at the underground
Natanz facility, accelerating activity that
could give Iran the means to make atom bombs
in the future if it chose to.
Iran, the world's fourth largest oil
exporter, says it wants nuclear technology to
generate electricity. "President Ahmadinejad
has announced the start of the installation
of 6,000 new centrifuges at Natanz," state
radio said. State television carried a
similar report.
"Today we have started the installation of
6,000 new centrifuges ... I will announce
more achievements tonight," the official IRNA
news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying at
Natanz in central Iran, surrounded by
anti-aircraft guns.
Washington has not ruled out military action
to stop Iran's nuclear work and Israel,
Tehran's arch-foe, has urged the
international community to stop "the
aggressive nuclear program of Iran". "The
leadership (in Tehran) must understand that
the international community sees the Iranian
nuclear program as completely unacceptable,"
said Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev
in reaction to Ahmadinejad's announcement.
Enriched uranium can be used as fuel in
nuclear power plants or, if refined much
more, provide material for weapons.
