HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- On Wednesday, October 15,
2008, a group of Iraq War Veterans and
members of Veterans For Peace were arrested
outside the presidential debate being held at
Hofstra University. One of the veterans, Iraq
Veterans Against the War (IVAW) member Nick
Morgan, was trampled by a police horse and
knocked unconscious. The police waited until
after he regained consciousness to arrest
