*Nick's P.O.V*
The next day at school I decided to apologize
to Ashley. The whole day Ash ignored me and
Larissa and her little skank friends glared
at me. It just wasn't my week. After school I
saw Ashley walking out to the parking lot. I
walked up behind her and grabbed her
shoulders.
"Oh my go- oh. Hi Nick..." she said looking
down.
"Can I talk to you?" she nodded and I grabbed
her hand. "Do you need a ride home?" she
nodded again so we walked out to my car. We
got in and started driving back to my house.
I was having Déjà vu from the first time I
took her home. She looked out the window and
was quiet. She looked... sad... did I do that
to her? I was the first to speak up.
"Listen Ashley, I'm sorry for the crap I said
yesterday. I was lying to myself... because I
wanted to get over you. I guess it just hurts
seeing you with my brother..."
She looked over at me. "Nick I just don't get
it. You flip flop so much, I don't know
what's true?"
"I guess... I still love you. But I know you
like my brother so I just have to get over
that and move on. I just wanted to you
know..."
"Nick... I'm sorry for everything. But I
don't see me and Joe breaking up any time
soon."
"I understand. Well, we're at your house."
Ashley looked at me then down again. She got
out of the car and slowly walked into her
house. She looked back once and put on a fake
smile. I went to my house and walked inside.
I saw Kevin and Joe sitting on the couch.
"You tell her?" Kevin asked.
"Tell who what?" Joe asked.
"Yes Kevin I did" I said, ignoring Joe.
"Well?"
"Can I talk to you about it later when
SOMEONE isn't around?" I said referring to
Joe.
"Yeah that's fine. Go do your homework."
I walked upstairs and sat on my bed. I
noticed that Ashley had he window open again.
She looked up and saw me and smiled. I loved
her smile. It was amazing... it made me melt
every time. I smiled back and continued to do
my homework.
Later that night I walked over to my window
and saw Ashley sitting on her bed. She looked
up and saw me and walked to hers too.
"Hey" I said to her.
"This reminds me of the old days" Ashley
said. We used to talk back and forth to each
other all the time.
"No kidding..." I said.
"Nick, about what you said today. I guess...
I still miss you. But you know that I can't
just dump Joe. I mean, I can, but I don't
want too. I'm really sorry about this whole
thing. It sucks."
"Don't be. I know you like Joe and I'm just
going to have to get over that..." under my
breath I added eventually. I knew this was
going to take a while but I didn't want to
make her feel guilty, just know how I felt.
"Ok... well I should keep reading. I have to
read like, 5 chapters for English."
"Same. I'll talk to you later."
I went back into my room and sat on my bed.
The truth was that I wanted to win her heart,
but didn't want her to feel guilty about the
whole Joe thing. I was stuck between hurting
the girl I love again and my feelings, or
letting her live her life and ignore my
feelings. I hated being in this position. I
didn't want her to hate me though because the
day Joe breaks up with her, I want her to be
able to confide in me and talk to me. Not
hate me. Of course, I had no idea how long I
was going to have to wait seeing as that
apparently Joe likes long relationships. I
knew they were going out tonight but I
decided to try to not spy tonight. Maybe that
would help. I grabbed my guitar and decided
to work on my songs.
"Just so you know this feeling is taking
control of me. And I can't help it. I won't
sit around, can't let him win now. Thought
you should know, I've tried my best to let go
of you. But I don't want to. I've just got to
say it all before I go. Just so you know."

Many of his songs work haha. But not for the
one's Nick is writing lol.
