1,2,3 Soleils concert at the Bercy Arena in
Paris—which drew 15,000 fans—with Khaled
and fellow raï stars Faudel and Rachid Taha.
Each singer represented a different aspect of
Raï, with Khaled as the established
innovator, Faudel as the up and coming heart
throb/crooner, and Rachid Taha, the cutting
edge rocker. "Abdel Kader" is a 1993 hit
penned by Khaled, and tells of the heartbreak
of lost love.
