Inspired by the many scanner cameras popping
up (which my pal Jayme Cochrane over at
http://www.scamera.net has termed Scameras),
I made a "web scamera" with an iSight and
MIT's processing. Essentially, it just
captures one vertical row of pixels each
frame. Then I sped the footage up 15x. The
effect is subtle. Music playing is by
Deerhoof. This capture of my trip to Seattle
for the Podcast Hotel
(http://www.podcasthotel.com) was the first
run at using the camera. Anyone seen anyone
else doing experiments like this? Let me
know. Tags :webscamerascannercameraisightprocessingseattleroadtrippodcasthotel
