| A Twangy Country Song... |
 |
Today I had a day off from work and woke up
with a strong determination to write a new
song. Normally I hate to play in C major when
it comes to country, so I decided to start
loving this key instead of avoiding it. Now
in the end of the day I must say it was
really worth the effort. At first it felt
like Rodeo, but when mastering it C major has
a lot of twangy possibillities! I´m going to
upload a lesson based on this song as soon as
I get the time, so please subscribe or come
back in a few days. Thanks for listening and
take care! Warm Regards MarQTwang Tags : hybrid picking guitar licks fender vintage hot rod 52 telecaster Marcus Måttgård MarQTwang brent mason paisley country |

| a little echo-y twangy thing in C |

I was messing with the settings on my Boss
RE-20 Space Echo and I came up with this
little pattern to the tempo of the delay. So
I videotaped with my digital camera so I
wouldn't forget it. I'm playing a 2004
Gretsch Jet Firebird into the RE-20, from
there into a 1966 Fender Princeton
Reverb(volume only on about 1 1/2 since I was
sitting right in front of it...wanna keep my
hearing!)
Sorry it's so dark; next time I'll turn the
lights on in my living room!
Enjoy... Tags : gretsch jet firebird twang RE-20 space echo princeton reverb desert ocean instrumental surf |

| Twangy Twangers guitar ensemble, summer 2008 |
 |
The Twangy Twangers in our first performance.
Apologies for the poor quality of sound at
the introductions, but the music can be heard
nicely. Don't be put off by the dreadful
twanging at the beginning, it was a joke
devised by the children, and is not our first
piece! We formed only two terms ago, and I am
extremely proud of the children's
achievement. When we started, our ensemble
skills were almost non-existant, we had to do
alot of work on playing together in time with
each other. But here we are successfully
performing in front of an audience of over
200! A few nervous errors by me, but the
children were great! There are 6 children
with me on stage, but only 5 are visible as
we had to use one school music stand, sorry
Jordan! A big thankyou to Derek Hasted, of
the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra
(www.hago.org.uk) for his advice,
encouragement and inspiration, without whom I
would not have even thought the Twangy
Twangers would be possible. All the music is
from the ABRSM copper music medal book. Tags : classical guitar ensemble |
