Boy, that engine sound gets really annoying.
In any case, what really kills me about this
game is the sudden change in color. One
second, you're on a nice and green
background. The next, BOOM, flash of white!
And then the next, blackout! And then after
that, the fog kicks in. Tags : Activision Anthology Enduro Atari 2600 GBA |

WOW 30,000+ views Activision CEO Robert
Kotick took the opprotunity to showoff Guitar
Hero: World Tour. In the midst of introducing
the upcoming game Kotick started to describe
World Tour as, "the first time you'll have
multiple instruments," before D6 co-host Kara
Swisher quickly shot back "it's called Rock
Band I think," which sent the crowd into a
frenzy of laughter.
Whether Kotick meant it was the first time
Guitar Hero would have the peripherals or if
he was trying to pull a fast one on an
audience he expected to have limited gaming
knowledge is unknown. What we do know is the
people playing the game for the demo,
including skateboarder Tony Hawk, could not
look more bored.
Come on people. You're rocking out! A little
passion please. Tags : Guitar hero world tour gameplay xbox 360 ps3 hip-hop indie jazz pop r&b rap blues rock country unsigned music |

Brush your teeth, kids! That was the emphasis
of this game, at least to hopefully teach
something. This game appears to be for me one
of those typical games that you would find
your kid playing. You know, like the type
that you would see children playing on comedy
shows. This happens to be one of my most
favorite games for the Atari 2600, even if it
does seem to be bizarre for some.
In Plaque Attack, you are a tube of
toothpaste trying to attack waves of food
before they decay your teeth. The foods that
appear here are: Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers,
French Fries, Doughnuts, Ice Cream Cones,
Strawberries, and Cherries. If mulitple teeth
are decayed in a level, later teeth will be
destroyed faster. Over time, if all the teeth
are lost in a stage, your tube of toothpaste
will shrink, although it will shoot
toothpaste faster.
I had a contest between four different
gameplay videos of this game. Of course, the
winner was to be uploaded here, and the rest
were deleted. It may not be a game where I
got the farthest or had the most teeth, but
it was the game that was the most
action-packed, since the shooting does not
seem to be dull here. Tags : A Collection of Activision Classic Games for the Atari 2600 Sony PlayStation Plaque Attack Teeth Toothpaste Tube Food |

Something as simple as to go left wasn't
started in Metroid. To think that I was
seeing the end of the game by going that way,
but now I know with the time limit, that
can't happen. Boo.
From the manual: "Game Controls: To run left
or right, press the Left/Right Directional
Buttons. To jump over dangers, press the X
button while running left or right. To climb
up or down ladders, press the Up/Down
Directional Buttons. To grab a swinging vine,
press the down Directional Button at the end
of a swing. To collect treasure, just run
right over it."
I've gotten pretty far in the backwards trek,
the --you can guess-- farthest I've ever
gotten. Most of it can be thanked by my
timing and the vine positions. To explain the
phenonmenon, I would have to say it is
eustress. Tags : Collection of Activision Classics for the Atari 2600 Sony PlayStation Pitfall Pitfall! Pit Water Crocodile Snake |

A happy green monster. He's happy even when
he dies. The box art, which can be seen in
the main menu screen of the collection and on
the back of the CD case, has a strange but
cool realistic presence to it, sort of
reminds me of the first stage of Earthworm
Jim 2 for the Sega Genesis. I've also seen
the title of this game being an abbreviation.
It's debatable, really, since not all sources
have it written that way, including the
manual I have for this collection.
From the manual: "Rescue all the miners
possible before running out of lives. One
must locate a miner in each level before
moving lower in the mine. Mine shafts extend
vertically and horizontally deep into Mount
Leone. Some dead end; others are blocked by
walls. Some walls and surfaces glow blue;
these contain magma deposits, molten lava
behind the rock. Like lava rivers, magma
deposits cost one a life, should one be
careless enough to touch them. A
heat-resistant raft floats on certain
stretches of the lava river. It can carry R.
Hero across the river when one lands on it.
If R. Hero runs out of dynamite, he can burn
through walls with his Microlaser Beam."
This is the farthest I've ever gotten in
Hero. It's the strangest thing, really. I'm
doing better in all of these games, yet I
haven't played any of them for at least
several years. Unfortunatly, the Microlaser
is practically invisible in this video (due
to quality of capture and framrate issues, of
course). You got lucky there, little bat. I
didn't know what to do in the last part of
the video where I lost my last life; I
thought it was possible to fly over that
block. Tags : Collection of Activision Classics for the Atari 2600 Sony PlayStation Hero H.E.R.O. Miners Microlaser Beam Dynamite |
