Nancy Agram (Arabic: نانسي عجرم‎)
(born May 16, 1983) is a multiple
award-winning Lebanese pop singer and dancer.
She is best known for her studio albums,
music videos, commercials and songs such as
Akhasmak Ah, Ya Salam, Ah W Noss and Ya
tabtab Wa Dalla.
Ajram has sold over twelve million records in
the Arabian world. Having sold over four
million albums in Lebanon, Ajram ranks as the
third best-selling female artist in Lebanese
and Egyptian music history.
Ajram is one of the richest Lebanese singers;
her personal wealth, mostly earned from her
high album sales and commercials, has
exceeded $16 million.
Ajram first came to fame as a winning member
of the entertainment show Noujoum
Al-Moustakbal ("Stars of the Future"), a
Lebanese television musical competition, in
mid-1990s, after which she produced two
unsuccessful albums, Mihtagalak ("I Need
You') in 1998, followed by Sheel Oyoonak Anni
("Take Your Eyes Off Of Me") in 2000. She
subsequently emerged at the forefront of the
pop music scene in the early 2000s, thanks to
her third album, Ya Salam ("How Fantastic"),
which was crafted by Lebanese producer Jiji
Lamara. Her second album, Ah W Noss, was
released the following year.
In the early 2000s, Ajram's success as a
singer led her to high-profile advertising
deals, most notably for Coca-Cola, as well as
Damas Jewelry. Her second and third albums
were released during this era and included
more artistic input that Ajram developed.
In 2006, she confirmed on Akid Akid Maestro
with Nishan Derharoutnionan that she is
planning to marry next year, but has not
named the groom. Tags : arab song music pakistan pakistani nancy ajram |

Shantel // Disko Partizani!
Katalog-Nr.: AY CD 15
Release: 24.8.2007,
Crammed Discs and Essay Recordings are
delighted to announce the release of Disko
Partizani!, the first artist album by Shantel
in seven years. Please find already 3 new
tracks on this EP.
After pioneering the concept of Balkan
clubbing with his now-legendary Bucovina Club
parties and albums, after working his DJ
voodoo around the world (and driving crowds
to ecstatic bliss), after setting very high
standards for dancefloor-oriented Gypsy music
with his own seminal tracks and with his
remixes of tracks by Mahala Rai Banda, Taraf
de Haidouks & more...
...Shantel has now moved on to the next step
with the fab Disko Partizani! album, which
lays the groundwork for a new brand of pop
music. This is the sound of new Europe,
centered in the middle of our old continent,
but incorporating vibrant influences from the
emerging new frontier which stretches all the
way to Mitteleuropa, the South East, Greece,
Turkey and beyond...
Disko Partizani! sees Shantel successfully
synthesizing his experiences as a producer,
musician and DJ to create catchy, energetic
and festive pop songs, full of hooks and
surprises. The album features great
performances by a host of musicians from
southeast Europe and by Shantel himself, who
also appears on lead vocals, gracing several
tracks with an unexpected, elegant deadpan
delivery.
Essay Recordings (Shantel's label) and
Crammed have joined forces for this very
special album, which will come out in early
September 2007.
Shantel will be extensively touring with the
Disko Partizani project, accompanied by his
Bucovina Club Orkestar, a full 8-piece band.
Shantel, who started out as a respected
electronica producer (with two albums out on
Studio K7), has taken to the music of Eastern
Europe following a trip to Bucovina, in
search of his family roots. His Bucovina Club
albums have earned him several awards
(including a BBC World Music Award).
Stop press: Shantel has written the original
music for "The Edge Of Heaven", the new Fatih
Akin movie which just won an award at the
Cannes Film Festival.
Disko Partizani will be released through
Crammed worldwide, except in the following
countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland,
Greece, Turkey, Serbia and Japan. Tags : guilty76am SHANTEL DISKO PARTIZANI BUCOVINA CLUB ORKESTAR ORKESTRA LIVE |

| 2PAC - "The Day Tupac Died" 5 MIN. RARE MTV VIDEO 1971-1996 |
 |
Rare MTV news clip that aired in 1996 the day
that Tupac was pronounced dead. Chronicles
2Pac's hip-hop career: a strange, terrible
and beautiful saga. 2Pac is the greatest of
all time... Rest in peace Tupac Amaru Shakur
- you are missed.
Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 --
September 13, 1996), also known by his stage
names: 2Pac, Makaveli, or simply Pac, was an
American artist renowned for his rap music,
movie roles, poetry, and his social activism.
He is recognized in the Guinness Book of
World Records as the best selling hip-hop
artist, with over seventy-five million albums
sold worldwide including over fifty million
in the United States alone. Most of Shakur's
songs are about growing up around violence
and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in
society, and sometimes qualms with other
fellow rappers. Shakur's work is known for
advocating political, economic, social, and
racial equality as well as his raw
descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol
abuse, and conflicts with the law. Many fans,
critics, and industry insiders rank him as
the greatest rapper ever.
In 1990, Shakur was a roadie and backup
dancer for the alternative rap group Digital
Underground. Shakur's debut album, 2Pacalypse
Now, gained critical recognition and backlash
for its controversial lyrics. Shakur became
the target of lawsuits and experienced other
legal problems. Later, Shakur was shot five
times in a recording studio lobby in
Manhattan and was robbed. Following the
incident, Shakur grew suspicious that other
figures in the rap industry had prior
knowledge of the shooting and did not warn
him; the controversy would help spark the
East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. After
serving eleven months of his sentence, Shakur
was released from prison on an appeal
financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of
Death Row Records. In exchange for Suge's
assistance, Shakur agreed to release three
records under the Death Row label. Shakur's
fifth album, the first double-disc release in
hip hop history All Eyez on Me, counted as
two albums. On September 7, 1996, Shakur was
shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las
Vegas, Nevada, and died six days later of
respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at
University Medical Center, Las Vegas.
Shakur's work has influenced many modern rap
artists. Eminem, Nas, Lloyd Banks, Rick Ross,
Ja Rule, The Game, and 50 Cent all
acknowledge his influence on their work. The
likes of Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Pharrell,
Ghostface Killa, Lil' Scrappy, DMX, Lil' Jon,
Mary J. Blige, Juvenile, Outkast, Jermaine
Dupri, WC, Sean Paul, Ice Cube, Missy Elliot,
Mike Tyson and Nelly have all named songs by
Shakur that they personally enjoyed.

| DAVID BOWIE - First TV appearance 1970 - SPACE ODDITY |
 |
Although he released an album and numerous
singles earlier, David Bowie first caught the
eye and ear of the public in the autumn of
1969, when his space-age mini-melodrama
"Space Oddity" reached the top five of the UK
singles chart. After a three-year period of
experimentation he re-emerged in 1972 during
the glam-rock era as a flamboyant,
androgynous alter ego Ziggy Stardust,
spearheaded by the hit single "Starman" and
the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
and the Spiders from Mars. The relatively
short-lived Ziggy persona epitomised a career
often marked by musical innovation,
reinvention and striking visual presentation.
In 1975 Bowie achieved his first major
American crossover success with the
number-one single "Fame" and the hit album
Young Americans, which the singer identified
as "plastic soul". The sound constituted a
radical shift in style that initially
alienated many of his UK devotees.[citation
needed]
He then confounded the expectations of both
his record label and his American audiences
by recording the minimalist album Low -- the
first of three collaborations with Brian Eno.
His most experimental works to date, the
so-called "Berlin Trilogy" nevertheless
produced three UK top-five albums. The
anthem-like, towering title track of the
second work "Heroes" (1977) is widely
regarded as a milestone in rock and pop.
After uneven commercial success in the late
1970s, Bowie had UK number ones with the 1980
single "Ashes to Ashes" and its parent album,
Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps). He paired
with Queen for the 1981 UK chart-topper
"Under Pressure", but consolidated his
commercial -- and, until then, most
profitable -- sound in 1983 with the album
Let's Dance, which yielded the hit singles
"China Girl", "Modern Love" and, most
famously, the title track.
Since the mid-80s only a handful of Bowie's
recordings have entered public consciousness.
In the British Broadcasting Corporation's
2002 poll of the 100 Greatest Britons, Bowie
ranked 29. Throughout his career he has sold
an estimated 136 million albums, and ranks
among the ten best-selling acts in UK pop
history.
In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him
#39 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists
of All Time.[2]. Tags : the doors rolling stones beatles who kinks |

LYRICS
First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me
Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with
goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive
It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I'm saving all my loving
for someone who's loving me

BIO
from WIKIPEDIA
Gloria Gaynor (born Gloria Fowles September
7, 1949) is an American singer, best-known
for the disco era hits "I Will Survive" (Hot
100 #1, 1979), "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Hot
100 #9, 1974), "Let Me Know (I Have A Right)"
(Hot 100 #42, 1980) and "I Am What I Am" (Hot
100 #82, 1983). She was born in Newark, New
Jersey.Gaynor was a singer with the Soul
Satisfiers, a jazz/pop band, in the 1960s.
Her first solo single was "She'll Be
Sorry/Let Me Go Baby" (1965).
Her first real success came in 1975 with the
release of her album Never Can Say Goodbye,
which established her as a disco artist. The
first side of this album consisted of three
disco songs ("Honey Bee", "Never Can Say
Goodbye" and "Reach Out, I'll Be There"),
with no breaks in between the songs. This
19-minute dance marathon proved to be
enormously popular, especially at dance
clubs. All three songs were released as
singles via radio edits, and all of them
became hits. This album was so instrumental
in introducing disco music to the public,
that many later believed that Gloria Gaynor
had been the first artist to record disco
music. "Never Can Say Goodbye" became the
first song to top Billboard magazine's dance
chart. So, in that sense, she was the first.
Capitalizing on the success of her first
album, Gloria Gaynor quickly released her
second album Experience Gloria Gaynor later
that same year. While this album was also
successful, it was not quite as popular as
her previous album in the mainstream.
Some of her lesser-known singles - due to
lack of recurrent airplay including, "Honey
Bee" (1974), "Casanova Brown" (1975), and
"Let's Make A Deal" (1976) - became hits in
the clubs and reached the Top 5 on
Billboard's disco charts. After her 1976
album, I've Got You, Gaynor shifted from her
hit production team, to work with other
productions. While it seemed like a good
move, her subsequent producers did not seem
to match Gaynor's vocal approach and style as
well. This caused her the albums that
followed such as 1977's Glorious and 1978's
Park Avenue Sound to be regarded as merely
good albums instead of excellent albums.
