Vera Meyer plays the Glass Armonica (aka
Harmonica) in Harvard Square, Boston, July,
2005. The instrument, an invention of
Benjamin Franklin, was quickly banned after
its inception. It was said to provoke
insanity. The unique harmonics have also been
said to import theraputic powers. It is also
known as the "Glass Armonica".
