| The Future of Austrian Economics |

This is the famous speech by Murray Rothbard
given in the days following the collapse of
the Soviet empire. His exuberance is palpable
has he explains the meaning of it all for the
place of liberty in the history of
civilization.
A brilliant scholar and passionate defender
of Liberty, Professor Murray Rothbard
(1926-1995) was dean of the Austrian School
of economics, holder of the S.J. Hall Chair
at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and
Academic Vice President of the Ludwig von
Mises Institute.
The author of 17 books and thousands of
articles, the foremost Misesian economist,
the father of modern freedom theory, and the
most delightful personality in the
profession, this great teacher here
spellbinds an audience of students, faculty,
and business leaders in the "Future of
Austrian Economics," at the 1990 Mises
University at Stanford.
Only Austrian economics, Rothbard shows, can
explain the collapse of socialism/communism
and tell us what should replace it:
laissez-faire capitalism. There is a lesson
here as well, he shows, for dealing with the
Leviathan in Washington, D.C.

Firstly I would like to thank You all for
watching, rating, commenting and so on ;D
I was really pleasantly surprised by such a
huge interest in this video, so I wrote some
detailed info about it:
On the 3rd of May, 2008 annual Street music
festival took place in Vilnius (the capital
of Lithuania) where I and two of my friends
participated as a DJ and VJ team. Our
open-air stage was just about 30 meters away
from the stairs you see in this video.
At about 9 PM Austrian rugby players came to
the street cafe just ahead our stage and
began having fun. At that time my friend DJ
Tout was on stage and played some
ear-splitting minimal/techno music that made
the crowd go really wild. Unfortunately, at
about 9.40 PM he had to turn the music off,
because the place where we played had to
close. Shortly after that, all the Austrian
team climbed up the stairs nearby. We didn't
know anything about what they were going to
do, but when they began taking off their
shirts, Tout's girlfriend suggested me to
take my camcorder and record them. So I stood
in front of the team and pressed the 'REC'
button. Now you can see what happened next.

After the show they put their clothes on and
went down Gediminas avenue (which is the main
street in Vilnius).
To be honest, firstly we all thought this was
some kind of bachelor party and only a few
days later in the Lithuanian press we found
out that this was an Austrian National Rugby
team, which was beaten 48:0 by Lithuanians in
European Rugby Cup match.
