Campus by Vampire Weekend. For listening
purposes.
I wake up
My shoulder's cold
I've got to leave here
Before I go
I pull my shirt on
Walk out the door
Drag my feet along the floor
I pull my shirt on
Walk out the door
Drag my feet along the floor
Then I see you
You're walking cross the campus
Cruel professor
Studying romances
How am I supposed to pretend
I never want to see you again?
How am I supposed to pretend
I never want to see you again?
Walk to class
In front of ya
Spilled kefir
On your keffiyah
You look inside
And turn to the door
Drag your feet across the floor
Then I see you
You're walking cross the campus
Cruel professor
Studying romances
How am I supposed to pretend
I never want to see you again?
How am I supposed to pretend
I never want to see you again?
In the afternoon
You're out on the stone and grass
And I'm sleeping on the balcony

| Campus Conflict - USA |

Jan 2007
Students at American universities are being
asked to spy on their professors. Campus
Watch, a pro-Israeli lobby group, relies on
student informers to expose 'anti-Semitic'
academics.
"There's a right wing effort across America
today to silence any criticism of Israel",
complains Prof Joseph Massad. He was singled
out for criticism by Campus Watch after he
pointed out that Israel has a large number of
laws which discriminate between Jewish and
non-Jewish citizens. "A member of Congress
immediately called on Colombia University to
fire me", he recalls. "New York City Council
called a special meeting about the
intimidation of Jewish students at Columbia".
Massad's lectures were frequently disrupted
by hecklers and Campus Watch is now putting
pressure on the university not to renew his
contract. Campus Watch pays particular
attention to professors who are up for
promotion or review. Their biggest success to
date has been forcing Yale to withdraw their
job offer to an academic who accused the
White House of; "deliberately misleading the
US public" over Iraq. Now, they are lobbying
for Congress to take control of funding for
Middle Eastern Studies. This would give
Congress the ability to end programmes run by
professors who criticise government policies. Tags : Campus Watch journeyman pictures pro Israeli lobby group Joseph Massad Daniel pipes |

| Sen. Barack Obama at Campus Progress |
 |
Senator Obama was at the Campus Progress
conference yesterday, sponsored by the Center
for American Progress. He spoke a great deal
about energy independence, even bringing up a
student from Campus Progress wearing a green
"Kick the Oil Habit!" t-shirt who will be
going around the country promoting energy
independence from foreign oil. The student,
Mark, will only be stopping at gas stations
that offer E-85/ethanol based gasoline.
Clever way to promote clean energy. [July 12,
