Open Casket by Death from the Leprosy album.
I bet this would have had alot more meaning
if I had uploaded this a day earlier but
unfortunately I was having computer problems.
A day earlier was December 13 and that means
6 years ago was Chuck's last day on earth. I
thought it would be good to upload this song
because a friend requested it and Chuck wrote
it about his older brother, Frank, who passed
away when Chuck was young. RIP Chuck
Schuldiner, you will always be my favorite
songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist.

A Poem Of life and death as seen in the
flower. Written by the poet Jason Roy Old
extraordinaire.
Casket Flower
The precious flower that had life, suddenly
begins to wilt
Wilting flower, dying in the summer sun
Its petals falling off its stem, melting wax
on a lonely candle
And finally, when all the petals fall,
leaving the stem with just its soul, it dies
It dies and its soul leaves its body.
Once a garden, now a graveyard of dead petals
Abandoned stems, like cold feet, stand tall
in this cemetery
An ocean void of water; a shoe with no foot
Lonely bones with no skin; a desert without
sand
I know that I can hear the drifting voices of
summer’s heartache
Or, maybe its death posing as the wind,
waiting to carry away these dead petals
Death hides inside every flower; it cowers
under its roots and holds its breath;
And when it breaths, death is born and the
flower dies, like always, this is inevitable.
Nevertheless, dawn births a new flower and
with all the beauty of a miracle, it blossoms
It sings in silence, unaware that it is
standing inside its own casket; only to
collapse inward when death blows its horn;
Its petals fall like a soul leaving a body;
drifting towards eternity dressed like a
flower
