Hello, I'm Anna Fowler and this is Catflap,
the magazine that's also had talks with Tom
Hicks about the Liverpool job.
Here then are your Catflap headlines. Talking
of Liverpool, it's not looking good for Rafa
Benitez. Yes, despite taking Liverpool to
Champions League glory, it seems the Spaniard
is living on borrowed time at Anfield.
Indeed, by the time you watch this Rafa may
well be sat on a beach counting his pay-off
and stroking his little goatee beard.
Elsewhere, the search for the new Scotland
manager continues with the shortlist getting
ever shorter and the stench of desperation
getting ever more pungent. Former Derby boss
Billy Davies is the latest to rule himself
out of the running, following hot on the
heels of my nan, Heather the sandwich lady
and Roger the mechanic round the corner.
Finally, the new England coach Fabio Capello
has said he's yet to decide who is going to
captain the national team. "The captaincy is
a very important decision," said Capello. "I
want to get to know the players well first."
That's easy Fab, just read the News of the
World every Sunday. You'll see exactly what
they're like.
So that's your Catflap headlines. Enjoy this
week's issue and I'll see you next week...

Hello again I'm Anna Fowler and this is
Catflap, the football magazine that's leaving
it's Christmas shopping till the very last
minute...
Anyway, these are your Catflap news
headlines...
Yes, it's that time of the week when another
Frenchman steps forward to take a pop shot at
English football. This time, it's Chelsea's
French international Florent Malouda, who has
branded our game as "brainless" and also
criticised the diets of the British players.
"The people at Chelsea don't control what the
players eat," he said. "You can help yourself
to whatever you like, drink Coke or
anything." And what, exactly, is wrong wih
that?
Elsewhere, this week has since AC Milan's
Brazilian wizard Kaka voted the European
Player of the Year, beating Manchester
United's Cristiano Ronald and Barcelona's
Lionel Messi into second and third place
respectively. For the record, Wigan's Titus
Bramble came a creditable fourth, followed by
Derby's Andy Griffin.
Finally, it's been another testing week for
Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce. As his team
struggle in the Premier League, the Magpies
boss has had to deal with press reports that
his players are now revolting. You can say
that again. Have you seen Mark Viduka
recently?
