| Neighborhood Bully |
 |
Ingenuity, creativity, and guts have
sustained this People longer than any other
identifiable group of people in existence
today.
The only thing that may have outdone this is
their sensitivity to needs of others.
Although we see and hear the leader of Iran
and of the "Palestinian" Authority, this
video is not about them, and of course the
song doesn't refer to them.
After lengthy research, the amount of
material uncovered attesting to the
generosity and deep feelings of love for
their fellow man, is staggering - much more
than could ever be stuffed into 1 video on
YouTube.
So here, with the help of Bob Dylan and his
Neighborhood Bully, is an attempt to show
what cannot even be described as the "tip of
the iceberg."
Now, although "Bob Dylan" never admitted to
having written this song for this particular
"Neighborhood Bully" - he has never refuted
it. It is believed by H. Shipless that indeed
Mr. Dylan ( AKA Robert Zimmerman - FYI ) -
was referring to his own people - ah yes, he
too is one of that "Neighborhood."
Who would have thought that such a small
country, bound with so many problems of its
own would have time to even think about
problems of others, let alone actually be
permanently organized to specifically be on
hand when emergency assistance is needed.
Is there any other country in the world that
can show such a "resume'"? The funny thing is
(am not sure that is the right word) that
they do not ask for anything in return -
only respect as human beings - and even
that, sad to say, is too much.
Even the numerous countries that this "Bully"
has selflessly raced to provide with
humanitarian aid in times of chaotic turmoil
and strife, fail to speak up in public on Her
behalf.
What a strange phenomenon . . .
Russia, Mexico, Ecuador, Turkey, Greece,
Chile, Kenya, El Salvador, Sri Lanka, and
many others - all recipients of vital
emergency assistance from the "Neighborhood
Bully" - it must be supposed that they
simply wish not to upset the well established
myth, born of lies and deceit successfully
creating (as was/is the purpose) in the eyes
of the world, the image that is known as the
"Neighborhood Bully."
Just an after thought in light of what is
being said lately of this "Bully." Viewers
will notice immediately that Apartheid - runs
quite rampant here as any anti-Semite will
avow. Tags : Emergency aid aids hurricane refugee India Egypt Israel Palestinian Jordan Bob Dylan The Neighborhood Bully Shipless |

| Food Fight |
 |
An abridged history of American-centric
warfare, from WWII to present day, told
through the foods of the countries in
conflict.
For a breakdown of the actual battles
portrayed in the film, visit:

the foodstuffs), visit:

Now, to answer some FAQs...
- The food in this film was consumed either
by myself or my dog after shooting. None of
the cast went to waste.
- The software used was photoshop and after
effects.
- The film took me 3 months to do.
- Although it seems like stop motion, most of
it was stop motion created within After
effects, using keyframe animation. I am
basically moving the food around within the
the program, frame by frame, which is the
same as traditional stop motion, only it's
digital. Tags : stop motion war food fight conflict animation short film stefan nadelman |

| Why the World Isn't Flat |
 |
According to the conventional wisdom
popularized by Thomas Friedman, countries can
grow rich only by means of unfettered
capitalism and pure free trade. In his
controversial book, Bad Samaritans: The Myth
of Free Trade and the Secret History of
Capitalism, Ha-Joon Chang takes aim at this
orthodoxy. Combining irreverent wit with
scholarly rigor, Chang shows that nations
like the U.S. that achieved their present
wealth by means of economic nationalism now
preach an entirely different set of policies
to the developing world, via the World Bank,
International Monetary Fund and World Trade
Organization. Chang calls on us not only to
re-evaluate the policies we promote to
countries seeking to grow rich, but also to
become reacquainted with our own forgotten
economic history.
Ha-Joon Chang has been described by one
economist as "the most exciting thinker our
profession has turned out in the past fifteen
years." He teaches at Cambridge University,
where he received his Master's degree and
doctorate. A consultant for the Wold Bank,
the Asian Development Bank, the UN and other
international organizations, he was awarded
the Leontief Prize for Advancing the
Frontiers of Economic Thought in 2005. His
book Kicking Away the Ladder: Development
Strategy in Historical Perspective (2002),
which received the Myrdal Prize, was
acclaimed by the eminent MIT economist
Charles Kindleberger as "a provocative
critique of mainstream economists' sermons
directed to developing countries." Tags : Capitalism Economy Economics Developing Countries History |
