| Delta Flight 6499, SEVEN HOURS on the tarmac |
 |
Delta Flight 6499 JFK to DFW on June 25 2007
experienced more than just a routine delay..
for seven hours, four children screamed, and
we were told by crew that they couldn't feed
us because Delta simply wouldn't allow it.
I do not fault the crew for the delay, but
someone at the airline IS at fault for not
having a plan B during an event similar to
this. Apparently there are no laws currently
that mandate any action be taken after a
certain number of hours passes. Even if the
delay was twelve, fifteen hours, forcing
passengers to stay on the plane is all legal.
In a post-9/11 world, forget about raising
your voice or causing a fuss on board an
aircraft, as everyone is well aware you can
be detained for making any kind of commotion.
The theory behind the media storm swirling
from this clip will be featured in my
upcoming book on social engineering ..

| DELTA - OIL'S DIRTY BUSINESS |
 |
At the Delta of Niger River in Nigeria, where
a vast proportion of planet's oil is
excavated, bomb attacks, abductions and
murders form part of daily routine.
The documentary portrays the image of
"development", the way giant multinational
petroleum companies would define it.
Petroleum leaks in the River destroy flora
and fauna, poison the food chain and
consequently wipe out the 27 million
indigenous people of the area - the Ijaws,
the Ogoni and the Itsekiris. The inhabitants
dare to ask the self-evident, they demand an
end to it. As a response they are massively
and brutally attacked by special forces of
the army and the police, which are armed by
the oil companies. The camera meets at the
river militia of the Movement for the
Emancipation of the Niger Delta-MEND- and
presents to the world for the first time
shattering images of their speed boat patrols
and of their heavy weaponry.
The Delta of Niger is a lost paradise. As the
documentary reveals, it is a place where
despite the natural beauty, contemporary
"globalized" hell prevails.
