This is another installment of my Capitol
Studios performance on the Pre-Order DVD..
and a song called 'Spell' which was featured
on an episode of Smallville.
This may be one of my favorite songs on my
album... and the recording on the CD has
these incredible strings on it which I can't
wait for you to all hear.
In the meantime, here's my performance of the
song from the Capitol Sessions.. As you can
tell, it was one looong day...lol.. I think
we did about 14 or 15 songs all in that one
day !!

I just wanted to tell you all that I only do
a cover if I actually like the song.. and I
never do it in the hopes of making it
'better'. I just want to give it my own spin.
I mean, I could have done a karaoke video to
this one but I just had my stripper pole
taken out the other day from my living room
and it just wouldn't have been the same..:p
but..in all seriousness, I really do enjoy
every genre from the pop-iest of pop to hard
rock, hip hop, classical, country (in small
bits).. !

This is a song I wrote recently called
'Unfold'.. it's probably the most personal
song i've ever written . it came out of my
frustration at my tendency to shut people
out. Especially in love, i found myself
always finding reasons to back away and i
couldn't figure out why. This song is
literally, my thinking process in trying to
understand how i became this person and if i
have the power to change it. here are the
lyrics:

This is another song from my session at
Capitol Records. This song is called Miss
Invisible and is very dear to me.. It's quite
autobiographical and details my time in
junior high school. To this day, it's hard to
get through this song without feeling like
I'm right back in my 13 year old self ...
falling down stairs... dreading lunch time..
This is also the song with which I won the
2004 Pantene Pro-Voice contest which some of
you may know about. I hope you enjoy it :)

I've been writing a bit while out on the
road... I am in Allentown PA today and
thought I'd take a minute to record this new
song ;) I found a nice little nook behind the
hotel and in order for me to make the video
happen .... I found an abandoned chair in the
parking lot (missing an arm) and a shopping
cart which I used to prop the computer with

I've been playing this while out on tour and
it's received such great responses from you
all that I decided to do a video for youtube!
The story goes - I had a very dear friend who
lived out here in Los Angeles. We did just
about everything together for the few years
she lived out here in L.A. Then one day, she
vanished. Not a phone call, ... not a word
about where she went and why. Still haven't
heard from her ... So this is my letter to
her.
PS - I did another video of this with my
guitarist (lance) while in Japan but there
were bugs in the trees that were making so
much noise, they almost overpower the music!
I might still put it up.. just for fun. what
do you think?
