ABOUT DIRAN:
Alexander Oludiran Adetunji AKA "Diran" was
born in Oshodi Lagos Nigeria. Diran started
singing at his mother's Methodist church in
Oshodi. At the age of 6 he was discovered
by his uncle singing and practicing the
moves of James Brown. It was through his
uncle that he was able to rummage
through his record collection and sing many
of the great James Brown songs and other R &
B artists  and singing to JB songs from my
uncle's album collections. Gospel music has
always been a part of Diran's life
Growing up Diran want to do two things:Â 1:
Follow in my father's steps by going to
military academy and 2: Become a musician.
Getting into military academy required a lot
of "connections". This made Diran realize
that a career in singing and writing songs
was perhaps a better past time.
Growing up in Oshodi was like one big
battlefield. Oshodi is like the centre of the
world. Anywhere you want to travel to in the
whole world; you will always get a transport
in Oshodi. Just a walking distance from
where Diran lives is the International
Airport.
The very first wages that Diran earnt
were used to record his first singles in
London at CBS. Since then Diran has worked at
Zenox disco in Solingen Germany, runs his own
radio program on OOG Radio in Groningen and
he now owns his own production company and a
studio in Groningen Nederlands. Dirans first
EP s a combination of his past and present
experience. The EP is called Dirans World "
Imajin "Â .
Diran recently won the best writer award from
the " FIVE STARS MUSIC COMPANY " for his two
songs 'Here I Am' & 'I Wanna Get Next To
You
