"In Response to Place" in association with
the Nature Conservancy is narrated by Joanne
Woodward and takes a look at some of the most
beautiful places on earth through the eyes
and lenses of the world's greatest nature
photographers. Having recently switched from
picturing her children as subjects to
landscape, Sally Mann chose to travel to the
Yucatan and use color film in her antique,
large format camera for the first time. The
Calakmul Reserve is the northern end of the
largest remaining forest in Mexico and
Central America

Born in Los Angeles, RobinThicke grew up with
an ear trained squarely at R&B and hip-hop.
"I didn't even listen to rock and roll music
until I was 17. André Harrell (then
president of Bad Boy Entertainment and
present mentor to Thicke) heard the lanky
white kid and was dumbstruck. "I heard what
Martin Luther King, Jr. described in his
dream of a new America: a place where a white
man in the San Fernando Valley can feel
Detroit, Harlem and the blues," he says.
Something Else is aptly titled. "It's time
for hope and change .. "Michael Jackson is
the epitome of celebration, and the core of
this album has that: It's celebratory,
healing, loving music," Thicke says.

Quinlan Road. In a recording career spanning

Loreena McKennitt has won worldwide critical
acclaim for world music she describes as
"Eclectic Celtic." she's released a DVD
document of her performance at Alhambra
palace in Granada, Spain. This is the same
performance that has been running on PBS
station pledge drives for the last year, but
with a double CD included. McKennitt's
renditions of songs from An Ancient Muse and
her earlier albums are impeccable.

Bon Jovi's latest recording, Lost Highway, is
not a Country record, but it was inspired by
Nashville's creative community. The band
collaborated with some of Music City's top
songwriters, including Brett James, Hillary
Lindsey and Gordie Sampson."I think it's
about life, love, loss and freedom," Bon Jovi
says. "At this point in your career, you're
trying to grow as artists without losing who
it is that you are. We were influenced
greatly over the years by the whole Nashville
scene, but, it wasn't that different from us.
It was just us being us with a little twang."
