Here we sit behind the wheel of the 2008 Ford
F-150 Foose Edition. With one foot planted on
the brake pedal, we drop it into gear and
goose the throttle. Somewhere beyond the loud
whine of the supercharger we hear a long,
drawn-out shush. It's not our high school
librarian. These 22-inch tires just don't
squeal like we expected.
A glance in the rearview is reassuring. White
smoke billows from the wheel openings and now
engulfs the truck bed. This exercise doesn't
sound as cool as we had hoped, but it gets
the job done. We pull around to the front of
the building, park in the first available
spot and climb out.
Some bystanders shake their heads in disgust
and a couple of kids smile as we puff out our
chests and strut past them. Our tuxedos reek
of rubber as we enter the church. Just then
the groom turns and says, "It sure is a good
thing we got here early for photos."
Now we understand why Chip Foose and Ford
teamed up for the 2008 Ford F-150 Foose
Edition. This truck is built for burnouts.
And burnouts draw attention. Ford hopes this
attention is enough to generate some F-150
sales.

builder, Chip Foose. This was the chance for
die-cast collectors around the world to post
on-line questions for Chip on
www.joesdiecastshack.com. As far as we know,
this is one for the record books and this is
the Q & A as it appeared on Joe Falco's site.

Part 2 - Chip Foose Behind the Scenes
Star of Overhaulin' and the hottest custom
car designer on the scene, Foose gave the
Flex a look of contemporary suburban luxury
that accentuates its already stand-out good
looks.
Riding on Foose Design 22-inch wheels and
Eibach springs customized for a lower
appearance, the Foose Flex exterior features
a custom-mixed, tow-tone blue and cream pearl
paint job.
Inside, this color scheme continues with
three-tone blue, gray and tan premium leather
surfaces by Katzkin Leather.
Custom front and rear fascias and rocker
panels are complemented by a custom
wrap-around chrome beltline. Additional
exterior details include painted appliqué
door handles and a relocated license plate.
With custom upper and lower grilles and bold
FORD lettering across the front and rear, the
Foose Flex reflects the right amount of
expressive luxury appeal.

cars and coffee meet 2/24/07 many nice cars.
NOTE when the bugatti veyron takes off its
almost silent. all the noise comes from a wrx
that was next to it. the subaru was very very
loud the popback sounding like gun shots not
exaggerating the noise- chip foose came
today!. this is also my first time coming to
this event :)
