A tribute to a good friend of mine who died
in a car accident on November 14th, 2007.
This video was recorded November 14th, 2008
at Banana's Bar and Grill in Enterprise,
Alabama.
Thank you to Dave and Teressa, Fitz Lee,
Alicia, Ronald, Mike and Haley, E Smith, and
everyone else who showed love.
Lyrics:
Jason Grase, you was my dawg, you was my
homie/
I kept you seperate from all them fakes and
phonies/
The one and only "Ready Freddy", ready for
heavy drinkin/
Slice like machetes do to bellys, got me
steady thinkin/
I think and remenisce about the time you and
I shared/
I laugh at some of em, and other ones, I shed
a tear/
No man I fear, yea, do you remember Porsha/
Will Wambles got pissed off and walked off as
he slammed the door shut/
That shit was funny, Marcus and Brandon had
to laugh/
Darren was there too, we all should've just
kicked his ass/
But now that memory, it also makes me sad, in
the end/
Brandon first, and now you, two of my
friends/
Taken away by a crash, now it's in the past/
I pray you'll guide me on my path, show me
the math/
I'll solve the problem, you know I'll always
love you Jason/
One day I'll get to see you once I'm out of
heaven's basement/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, we'll never forget
you/
By the grace of God, Jason, we gon always be
with you and uh/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, you'll never be
forgotten/
Dawg, I just want you to know, you'll never
be forgotten/
We used to kick it up in P.E. class, with
Ronald Knapp/
Playin Spades on the days that we didn't
have/
Clothes to dress out, we clowned on the rest
out there tryna ball/
Some of em got mad at us, but fuck em all/
Me and you and Scotty Chang, freestylin from
the brain/
After drinkin alcohol and smokin Mary Jane/
I'm not tryna degrade your image, I'm just
reminiscin/
Dawg, it fuckin sucks that I'm even in this
position to be spittin/
A song that's dedicated to your memory/
It's got me thinkin, when I die, who will
remember me/
Man, I remember you, you was always nice to
everybody/
You put others before yourself, and I think
that you're probably/
Watchin over me, and if so, just give me a
sign/
Make every listener out there just hit
rewind/
And when my time comes, I'm a meet you at the
Pearly Gates/
Rest In Peace "Ready Freddy", Jason Grase/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, we'll never forget
you/
By the grace of God, Jason, we gon always be
with you and uh/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, you'll never be
forgotten/
Dawg, I just want you to know, you'll never
be forgotten/
The day you died, I came to Banana's and spit
a rhyme/
Over this exact same beat, dawg, I almost
cried/
Some people in the audience thought that it
was written/
I didn't have time to explain, I wasn't
bullshittin, sittin spittin/
Memories of you and the times that we shared/
I blocked everybody else out, I could care/
Less what they thought, I did it for you,
that day was so dark/
It was hard for me to open up my heart/
But I did, and me and Scotty took a shot for
you dawg/
Went back to Andy's and Scotty made a cross
for you dawg/
If that ain't love for a friend, then I got
life wrong/
And I know somebody will say this ain't a
nice song/
But fuck em, this ain't for them, this for
J.F.G./
Made by me, Eric Lee Smead/
And I'm a always remember the day that you
went to heaven/
The 14th day of November of '07/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, we'll never forget
you/
By the grace of God, Jason, we gon always be
with you and uh/
Even though you're gone, we'll carry on,
won't mourn for real/
We'll remenisce about the times we used to
chill and I/
Just want you to know, you'll never be
forgotten/
Dawg, I just want you to know, you'll never
be forgotten/ Tags : jason grase tribute eric smead split espeeliyte alabama enterprise rap hip hop korean asian emcee mc eminem RIP JFG |
