| Grazing in the Grass - "Original" - Hugh Masekela |

Hugh Masekela was born 4th April 1939,
Witbank, South Africa and began singing and
playing piano as a child
switching to the trumpet at 14 and played in
the Huddleston Jazz Band.
Masekela co-founded the Merry Makers of
Springs along with Jonas Gwangwa
He later joined Alfred Herbert's Jazz Revue,
and played in studio bands backin the popular
singers of the day like Dizzy Gillespie, John
Dankworth and Harry Belafonte.
During the early '60's, his career took off.
Hugh moved to California and started his own
record label, Chisa
The song 'Grazing In The Grass' topped the
charts in 1968 and
eventually sold four million copies
worldwide.

I'm under the impression I haven't uploaded a
video in a while?
My fault.
The sony Vegas didn't work, I had no new
footage, etc. etc. I don't have the footage
of Brave Venture on my computer, so it will
probabley be out on the 5th or 6th of July.
I'm filming for a friend.
I personally like this song and this style. I
took a break from the whole riding video,
part and decided to make a more laid back
video of my two very happy, very dumb horses
grazing their tails off.
Look how FAT Kaysea got!
Romeo, I can live with, because he is skinny
to begin with, and needed weight.
But, lard doesn't even cut it anymore.
I think I need a new nickname for her!

Treppie, a 14 year old captive-bred
California desert tortoise, grazes outside
for the first time this year. Here, he
samples various plants, checks to see if the
embedded rock in the patio substrate is
edible this year (despite its not having been
edible for the past 13 years), checks out the
camera, and wanders over to a patch of young
clover.
