This video is yet more proof of U.S. ground
unit military incompetence; a weak ego marine
begs an Iraqi taxi driver to go get the
rebels to come out and gun play with him.
This USMC vehicle checkpoint is so poorly
done, there isn't enough space here to even
BEGIN to explain how to correct it. Short
answer is don't send inept, nation-state
war-mongering marines to do such things.
IRAQ IS PRIMARILY A COMBAT ENGINEERING WAR
(sub-national conflict to be exact) over who
gets to place and set-off high explosives;
NOT a kinetic energy (KE) bullet gunslinging
duel that simplistic, lazy Americans long to
do. This isn't John Wayne versus the Plains
Indians where we only have to out-maneuver
and out-shoot the enemy; the non-linear
battlefield (NLB) is dominated by HIGH
EXPLOSIVES--which means COMBAT ENGINEER
TACTICS SHOULD DRIVE EVERYTHING WE DO.

But Sappers can't do this because both the
U.S. Army and marines are bureaucracies not
professions--miss-run by egotistical KE
gunslingers who have rigged it so combat
engineers can't even input into how
operations are run--much less rise to the top
and be Army Chief of Staff or Commandant of
the Moron Corps to insure the entire
organization adapts properly to the world
around us! The Army and marines are being
directed into disaster by KE gunslingers who
think every problem is solved by a man-with-a
gun-in-his-hands ("to he who only has a
hammer, all problems look like nails" etc.)
with no clue about HE weaponry and this is
why the absurd, road-bound, truck madness
persists; a basic ignorance of the laws of
physics as it relates to terrain and what
tracked and wheeled vehicles can do plus what
KE and HE weaponry can do to vehicles and
soft men's bodies on foot.

This video is more prima facie evidence that
the self-centered, self-serving USMC should
be disbanded and the U.S. Army reformed with
a sub-national conflict corps composed of
older ADULTS who will insure that violence is
SMOTHERED by combat engineering means to deny
HE bomb emplacement and by rehiring local
people to run their government not out-source
to greedy foreign corporations in a feeding
frenzy over American tax dollars.
