As Sam flyes Chris to her hotel in New Mexico
they fly past the sandy beaches of the
mexican gulf, where Sam drops a bottle of
expensive drink down as a present to a girl
waterskiing. We see the green sea of the
mexican gulf, and listen to a soft analog
synth brass playing a sentimental piece
arranged in a beautiful way. Fred karlin and
Michael Hoenig are responsible for these
analog masterpieces on synthesizers in this
1980's movie. Watching this sequence makes me
very relaxed, and somehow also quite sad. But
sad in a beautiful way, a very strong and
positive feeling. Tags :gulfmexicohelicopterlarryhagmanbeachsurfinganalogsynthesizersoft80'sSamHooten1980filmmusic
