Hanne Boel preforming one of her biggest hits

taped for DR's "Under åben himmel" program
and was filmed in the little town Hirtshals
located at the north sea in the north of
Denmark. Hanne has been one of the most
popular Danish singers for more than 20
years, and lots of people think of her as a
Danish version of Tina Turner..Check her work

Denmarks soul lady #1 is definitely Hanne
Boel. She succeeded with the female group
Blast, but in 1988 she decided to go solo and
made a solo album called "Black Wolf".
From "Black Wolf" was this song "Talk It
Out", which was written by Thomas Helmig - a
Danish singer/song writer, with whom Hanne
also recorded the song as a duet and released
it as a single before the album was out. But
for - to me - some unknown reasons, Hanne put
the song on her solo album without Thomas's
voice.
So, here's Hanne with "Talk It Out" from the
Danish TV show "Hitlisten" from 1989.

Es ist doch so einiges aus unserem Balkon
herauszuholen: Nämlich Platz für vier
Norweger, einen Stuhl, ein Akkordion, eine
Gitarre und meine Wenigkeit. So viel Platz
war für Hanne Huckelberg und ihre Band
nötig. Das Platzmachen hat sich gelohnt -
überzeugt Euch selbst. Hannes neuestes Album
"Rykestrasse 58" klingt zwar nach Norwegen,
stammt aber aus Berlin. Dort war Hanne für
ein halbes Jahr und nahm eine Menge
Inspiration für ihre Musik mit nach Hause.
Eine Besonderheit der Huckelbergschen Musik
ist auf Hannes Experimentiertfreude
zurückzuführen: Integriert werden
unorthodox musikalische Elemente wie rollende
Flaschen, Besteckgeklimper, quietschende
Schranktüren und Hannes schnurrender Kater.
"Field Recordings" nennt sie das. Wie gut,
dass es das bei uns auf dem Balkon
(knatternde Mopeds und grölende Passanten)
ohne grosses Zutun gibt. Viel Spass mit Hanne
und ihrer Band.
