Steve Howe plays Clap live at Queens Park
Rangers (w/Yes) in 1975.
P.S. He always hated that it got named "The
Clap" on the album, for obvious reasons...
Hence my simply naming it "Clap" here. Tags :SteveHoweYesacousticguitarprogressiveprog

As we near the end of the Tony Blair
Premiership, here's a reminder of what it was
like in the days leading up to Margaret
Thatcher's resignation. The man who gave her
the fatal push was her longest serving
Minister Sir Geoffrey Howe. His resignation
speech triggered a chain of events which
ultimately led to Margaret Thatcher's
resignation as Prime Minister. This clip is
from the BBC Nine O'Clock News. Tags :SirGeoffreyHoweMargaretThatcherResignation1990
The European champion Andrew Howe leaps past
the field and moves into first place with his
final jump of 8.47 meters. Celebrating
wildly, Howe displaced front-runner Irving
Saladino of Panama for the lead and believed
he had done enough to win the title. However,
Saladino had one more try and nailed 8.57
meters for the gold. Howe settled for the
silver medal and the Italian national record.
