Carl Big Heart's work and visions have been
blessed and approved by Elders from the
Abenaki, Muskogee Creek, and Iroquois
Nations; they have also been accepted by
recognized teachers in the Sufi, Buddhist,
and Hindu traditions. He is considered a
beloved teacher and medicine keeper in the
Turtle Clan and is recognized by many
spiritual leaders from the People of the
First Nations as an Elder.
Big Heart focuses on building bridges between
the world's wisdom traditions and on healing
the relationship between humankind and all
living beings. Through healing ceremony with
the Sacred Pipe, the Sweat Lodge, and
Children's Blessings, as well as by giving
in-depth talks, he seeks to connect us with
our own living Earth roots. His work
regularly takes him to Holland, Germany, and
Belgium. In the Irish Republic and Northern
Ireland, he has participated in programs at
Peace and Reconciliation Centers that have
included workshops with young people from
Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia.
"To bring true, effective, and lasting
healing to the Sacred Hoop of Life, we must
join together in one prayer of the heart and
flow into unified Spirit. Laying aside our
attachment to beliefs, we move beyond form
into universal synthesis. We are Spirit in
the flesh. God is the life living Itself with
each of us." —Carl Big Heart

| Japanese Humility |
 |
Let's take a quick look into the Japanese
mind and uncover the differences in how we
receive and express our humbleness. Again,
this video is meant to be for humorous
purposes and should not be applied to all
scenarios. Disagreement with what I might say
is fine (it is the internet after all), let
us just try and be civil about it. =)
Koichi actually just released his video on
almost the exact same concept a day earlier.
So I decided to make this one a response
video to his.
Maybe this video does a good enough job of
explaining what it is I'm trying to talk
about, but I personally feel that it didn't
do a good enough job. Any questions you might
have, feel free to ask, and I will answer as
best I can.

| State of the Pulpit - The Pursuit of Humility |
 |
The importance of Christ-like humility in the
believer's life is an often abstract concept
coming from the pulpit. Pastor Mark Driscoll
offers ten practical descriptions of how
humility works itself out in the life of a
Christian.
This video clip was taken from the sermon
'The Rebel's Guide to Joy in Humility' which

| Humility |
 |
I get a lesson in remaining humble during a
performance of Nancy Hascall's solo handbell
arrangement, "Joshua," the well-known
spiritual. Yes, I have to stop not once, not
twice, but *three* times before I can finally
finish the $#@$!@ piece. My mom's playing
the accompaniment on piano. Tags : handbells spiritual joshua concert performance solo handbell bell tiller |
