6/29/08 Update - I made this video for
Ruslana last december. A girl with such a
kind heart and unreal beauty which I had the
pleasure of meeting in person. Never could I
ever have imagined that in less than a year
from the time I put this tribute up here, she
would be gone. I am hurt beyond words and can
barely write this out. Right now I can only
think of Ruslana and thank you all for coming
here to post your kind words and thoughts.
Rest in peace, Ruslana. You were truly an
angel walking among us. I hope you have the
peace you so desperately sought. You will be
missed more than you'll ever know.

28, 2008) whose face graced the cover of
French Elle and Russian Vogue, apparently
jumped from her ninth-floor New York
apartment in her Water Street building in the
Financial District around 2:30 pm on Sat.
June 28 2008. Ruslana Korshunova was a
gorgeous supermodel, RIP my Friend.

Korshunova died around 2:30 p.m. on June 28,
2008, in a fall from a building on Water
Street, in Manhattan's Financial District,
the newspapers reported. Eyewitnesses said
they saw her jump on Saturday. Local media
quoted police sources saying there were no
traces of violence in her apartment, and that
everything looked like suicide.

More heartfelt internet messages posted by
stunning model Ruslana Korshunova in the
weeks before she leapt to her death from her
New York apartment have surfaced.
Although close friends reacted with shock and
disbelief at the 20-year-old's death on
Saturday, which has been ruled suicide,
London's Daily Mail reported that
Korshunova's internet poems revealed an inner
torment over a lover.
Perhaps most tellingly, the paper wrote, was
the model's declaration in March that: "My
dream is to fly. Oh, my rainbow it is too
high." (NOT) She was talking about a song..
maybe it was clue, she was going to jump or
maybe she loved the song.. we will never
know.
The postings on Korshunova's social
networking site went into little detail about
her private life but revealed a deep
sensitivity and preoccupation with matters of
the heart.
I don't think she killed herself.. I hope she
finds peace in heaven.

Manhattan, si sarebbe tolta la vita
nonostante avesse ottenuto negli ultimi mesi
numerosi successi lavorativi. A riferirlo e'
la CNN.
La Korshunova e' morta sul colpo per le
ferite riportate nell'impatto con il suolo,
si legge in un comunicato diffuso
dall'ufficio di medicina legale che ha
esaminato il corpo della supermodella.
Ruslana era apparsa su copertine importanti,
come Elle e Vogue, oltre ad aver sfilato per
i piu' importanti stilisti di moda e ad aver
prestato il suo volto a pubblicita' di marchi
come Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci e DKNY.

I made a video of the fabulous supermodel
Ruslana Korshunova who took her own life on
June 28, 2008 at around 2:30 p.m., Korshunova
died after falling from the ninth-floor
balcony of her apartment at 130 Water Street
in Manhattan's Financial District. Police
stated there were no signs of a struggle in
her apartment and concluded that Korshunova's
death is an apparent suicide. One of her
friends stated that Korshunova had just
returned from a modeling gig in Paris, noting
that she seemed to be on top of the world
with no apparent reason why she would commit
suicide. Korshunova's former boyfriend, Artem
Perchenok, said he dropped Korshunova off at
her apartment several hours before her death
after they watched the Demi Moore film Ghost
together. She was a good person, he told The
New York Post. However, she appeared
brokenhearted and angry in some of her
postings on a social networking site.
Korshunova's most telling message came three
months ago: I'm so lost. Will I ever find
myself? Another posting read: It hurts, as if
someone took a part of me, tore it out,
mercilessly stomped all over and threw it
out. One cryptic entry in March reads:
My dream is to fly. Oh, my rainbow it is too
high. Other postings revealed anger:
I'm a bitch. I'm a witch. I don't care what
you say ... I know why my other relationships
didn't work out, 'cause I'm unpredictable.
Were ever you are now i hope your resting and
you found ture happyness.
We're all gonna miss you :(
