| FFX - NSGNSNCNO Capturing - Inside Sin: Great Malboro |
 |
NSG = No Sphere Grid
NS = No Summons
NC = No Customization
NO = No Overdrives
This is by far the most annoying enemy to
capture. The main reason for that is Bad
Breath, which you need both Berserk Ward and
Confuse Proof to successfully survive. Since
you can't get both, you have to be happy with
Confuse Ward, which reduces the chance of
Confusion to 30%.
In other words, you need some luck with Bad
Breath. That's not all, though. Rikku doesn't
have enough HP to survive his regular
physical attack, so she must sacrifice her
Lucid Targe in order to survive it. I could
have just let her defend before each of GM's
turns, but that means more turns for GM and a
higher chance of another Bad Breath.
See what happened on the first turn? GM
didn't use Bad Breath, but decided to use his
physical attack on the ONE CHARACTER WHO
COULDN'T SURVIVE IT. That happened so many
times, I lost count. I usually want my videos
to be as short and perfect as possible, but
this was easily the most painful battle to
record, so I didn't care.
The reason why I used a Lunar Curtain on
Rikku is because he's got a magical attack
Rikku can't survive, but he didn't use it
this time. He only uses it when his HP is
lower than 50% or something, but he never
used it this time. You have to defend before
his turn when his HP is lower than 50%
because that eat attack is instant death
otherwise.
Well, that concludes my capturing series. I
said I'd record some other tricky enemies
too, but compared to this, there aren't any.
Next up now is Greater Sphere, which I'll
have to fight in order to get a Phoenix
Brazer, that I need for BFA. The battle lasts
90 minutes, so I'll only show the first and
last five minutes. Tags : final fantasy 10 ffx ff10 no sphere grid summons customization overdrives challenge great malboro |

| Final Fantasy X - Monster Arena: Malboro Menace |
 |
Malboro Menace is super easy....if you have
at least one character with status proof
armor. Otherwise you'll just watch your party
kill themself and each other before getting
an attack in. Since this isn't the
International version, the best status proof
armor for this would be: Auto-Med,
DeathProof, ConfuseProof, and BerserkProof.
20 Remedies are used for Auto-med, and you
can bribe for those or buy them from certain
places. 60 Farplane Wind for DeathProof. You
get 60 of them for capturing 1 of every enemy
at the Calm Lands, so super easy to get at
least one Armor with it, or you can Bribe for
more. 48 Musks for ConfuseProof. Bribing Evil
Eye's from Macalania for $6,200 gets you 2-4
Musks. And 32 Hypello Potions for
BerserkProof you can get by Bribing a Raldo
from Mi-ihen Highroad for $4,800 to get
around 10 each time. The trick is to capture
the enemy you need to Bribe, then go to
Monster Arena so you can CHOOSE to fight it
rather than hope for an encounter.
Anyways, if you have at least one person with
status proof armor that can survive the hit,
auto-med should auto-heal the slightly
annoying leftover status ailments, and then
you can heal your other party members. After
that, it should be clear sailing. Also note
that this guy will always ambush you.
Note: Don't tell me how underleveld or
overleved I am, or how I should have used
Aeons, or other strategies. This wasn't a
speed run fight, or wasn't a challenge fight.
Note2: Don't tell me I should have used a
certain weapon or armor, I'm well aware of
what would be best, I just am too lazy to do
it at the moment.
Note3: Look at

see my current stats before the fight. Any
changes made between them are shown in the
actual video. Tags : Final Fantasy X Monster Arena Malboro Menace Optional Boss |
