A new and exciting Oud from Faruk Türünz
Oud Shop in Istanbul, Turkey.
Using the highest quality woods, high tech
jigs and much TLC.
This Oud is modelled on the custom
specifications of Contemporary Oud Virtuoso
Joseph Tawadros.
The JT Signature Oud offers its player much
flexibility, a wide range of dynamics and a
Sweet Arabic Resonance specially
designed.This Model has been a labour of love
and is evident in the final product.
Tawadros has collaborated with a plethora of
artists from many diverse genres -From
Traditional Arabic artists to Punk; 'I think
this Oud will suit players who love the deep,
well rounded and charming Arabic sound, but
want to explore it in different areas not
just in the traditional sense' JT...This Oud
offers players an expressive range of
possibilites and a NEW AGE in oud
construction.
The Joseph Tawadros Signature Model includes;
# 7 courses tuned (from bass to treble)
C (can be tuned down to an G as suggested by
JT) -- single course
F (can be tuned down to a D as suggested by
JT) -- single course (if double preferred,
can be arranged)
A -- Double course
D -- Double course
G -- Double course

# A High Quality Fishman under saddle
Acoustic pick-up and pre-amp equalizer.
# Tuned bracings for Arabic tonalities and
special Faruk Turunz Frequency Formula.
# Stylish Joseph Tawadros Logo carved in the
Ebony fingerboard using PlexiGlass (Logo also
available in Mother of Pearl -- Must be
discussed with me Please see photo.)
# Tuning Pegs available in Ebony, Indian
Rosewood.
# The current JT Signature Model Bowl is made
of Maccassar Ebony, Dalbergia Sprucceana and
Three stripes of Curly Maple.
Other woods available: Padouk, Wenge, Walnut
Bowl Finishing - Varnish consists of
Polyurethane and Polish.
# The current JT Signature Model's Soundboard
is made out of Top Quality Aged Canadian
Cedar.
Soundboard is also available in top quality
aged Eastern Black Sea Spruce.
# Materials for Rossette design to be
discussed with me.

playing the Oud(middle eastern guitar) with
one hand. He developed this technique to
give amputees and disabled people an
opportunity to play music. He teaches this
technique at the House of Oud in Cairo. What
a guy...

One day I went crazy goofing with the oud.
That's what came out !!. I don't do that very
often by the way, so for classic oud lovers,
please don't hate me :-)
A fellow YouTube"r" informed me with the
following"
"Speak Softly Love (Love Theme From The
Godfather)" is a song written for The
Godfather (1972), the first film in the
Godfather trilogy. While its instrumental
version is simply known as "The Godfather
theme", "Speak Softly Love" is the vocal
version. The words and music are by Larry
Kusic and Nino Rota.
Originally sung by Andy Williams, other
artists, such as Bobby Vinton, have also
recorded the song.
