For more than hundred years, the Radio allows
us to listen free every to music which we
want. Therefore the Day of Music is also the
Day of the Radio.
In France, during 1920 and on 1930, there was
not still monopoly of the State, which will
appear after war with RTF and ORTF, until
1981 and the liberalization of waves.
The first French private station is Radiola,
with its first regular programs from 1922,
and the appearance of the radio news in 1923.
In 1933, Radiola will nationalized and will
become Radio Paris, which issued until
1944.Radio Paris remains famous in history
for the important role of propaganda of which
made use to him the nazi occupier during the
Second World war from July, 1940. The

It begins issuing March 30th, 1924 under
amateur form but, she will really be born on
April 25th, 1932 by putting in Limours
(Seine-et-Oise) the most powerful transmitter
of France. It will issue until June, 1940,
date of the entrance of the Germans in the
Capital. The programs of Parisian Post are
accepted in all France but still in big party
of Europe and in North Africa. The quality of
its programs and his potency has classified
it as one of the most important broadcasting
centres in the world. The radio will sink
itself at the arrival of the Germans in
Paris. At the end of war, the monopoly of
broadcasting will be declared and Parisian
Post, one of the rare stations not to have
collaborated with the occupier, will not find
his frequency. In 1930s, Parisian Post
becomes, with Radio City, the most popular
radio in France. Parisian Post is also at the
origin of the first tries of televisions, but
the administraion will not allow him to
succeed. Parisian post diffuses program of
variety publicly, games, radio theatre,
classical music but also jazz, recorded in
the big auditorium of Louvière. It is a
consensual radio, without debate, blending
cultural programs and program of
entertainment. It is also a big commercial
success thanks to his huge advertising
recipes.
