| Did John the Baptist Come Preaching "Your Best Life Now"? |

There are many who believe that all you have
to do is like Joel Osteen, tell God you're
sorry for your "mistakes", and forgive
yourself for letting your self-esteem go like
it has, but this message is woefully
different from the one John the Baptist came
preaching. The word "repent" is obviously
neglected from use in the modern "church,"
and I believe it is because if it were
preached, the modern "church" wouldn't be
quite the same as what it is with all these
people turning from their ways and all. In
other words, if you turn from your ways, you
don't go the same same ones.
