For everyone who seems to be missing the
point of song, it's a political comment on
the conduct of the American government.
(Notice the American sports mixed with images
of war) It's critiquing it's macho-qualities.
It is an attack on America's conservatism,
and foreign policy. (pre-9/11) Though looking
at the comments on here it seems no-one on
here knows what irony is regarding the title
of the song.
