| Desert Speed Flying- RC Revver Brotherhood |

This video is footage compiled from one
weekend out in the desert near Lucerne, CA
mid June '07. The Revver Brotherhood is a
group of guys who enjoy flying faster RC
airplanes. A group from Southern California
made a semi regular tradition of trips out to
the desert to fly their fast stuff in a wide
open and safe environment. It's a mix of
gas/glo powered and now electric speed
planes. It's a non-competitive atmosphere
and just a chance to go fast and do some
flying.

| VC's Hit Big Time with YouTube -- Could Revver Backers Be |

There must be plenty of excitement among VC's
in the Valley today in the wake of
astonishing valuation of YouTube in its sale
to Google. News reports today estimate that
YouTube's backer, Sequoia Capital, has turned
$11 million into $495 million in twelve
months. An increase times 43 -- not too
shabby.
Online video is a hot place to be for smart
VC's. Some of the smartest have ponied up to
invest in Revver, the "clean" video sharing
site that carefully monitor uploads clips for
appropriate content and copyright issues. It
provides a revenue sharing model for content
providers with advertising "post roll".
The Los Angeles-based company has raised over
$10 million from some very impressive backers

TIME WARNER will spin off AOL's Internet
access business from its web division and cut
100 jobs in the restructuring. AOL's dial-up
business is still profitable but in obvious
decline. The company is also actively
exploring a sale of the 84% of Time Warner
Cable that it currently owns. During Time
Warner's quarterly conference call, CEO Jeff
Bewkes addressed the state of the television
industry, saying it needs to be "a bit more
revolutionary" and that all networks should
offer their content on-demand.
AT&T will expand its 3G network to 80
additional cities this year, reaching a total
of 350 cities. The network expansion plans
include a future upgrade path to 4G. The
company will also roll out its first network
with High-Speed Uplink Packet Access, which
allows for greater upstream speeds.
REVVER is offering itself for sale for around
$500,000 and the assumption of $1 million in
debt. The video-sharing site pioneered the
revenue-sharing model for online content
creators. However, traffic growth has been
flat and the site seems to have lost some of
the buzz surrounding its business model, as
YouTube and others have added similar
revenue-sharing options.
MYSPACE will run a second season of
Roommates, the online faux-reality show about
recent college graduates. Ford will remain a
sponsor, with Freshlook Color Contacts also
signing on. MySpace claims the show had 6
million views during its first season.
BAIDU faces a new lawsuit from the
International Federation of Phonographic
Industries. The IFPI has asked Chinese courts
to force the popular search engine to remove
its thousands of free links to copyrighted
music. As reported yesterday, Google is
planning a new legal music service to
challenge Baidu's unlicensed music offerings.

Impressive Advertising Rates: Revver Gets $35
Per Thousand Views on Select Videos
Revver, the Los Angeles-based video
sharing/advertising network, is charging
advertisers as much as $35 per thousand views
of certain videos.
While some videos get just a $3 CPM, this
higher number is a very positive indication
of a advertisers willing to pay high rates
surrounding quality, independently produced
video. Revver, splits the revenue 50/50 with
the content creator.
I interviewed Revver's Angela Gyetvan at the
NewTeeVee conference in San Francisco last
week. She said that the Hollywood writers'
strike was bringing some talented folks to
Revver. Below is a clip from Lizz Winstead,
a writer for the Daily Show, who has a pretty
funny political satire show up on Revver
called Shoot the Messenger -- I've posted a
clip below.
Angela also filled me on the functionality of
the site's recent redesign.

The title says it all.
Sorry U2-b's voice crackles every now and
again. She must have a faulty wire.
Just in case you didn't know (and I'm
surpised how many people don't), Revver is a
video sharing site (founded in 2004) which
was the first to let the people uploading the
videos (you) earn revenue. Then YouTube came
along in 2005 and own3d them.
