Gheddar", "Liyam", "Souk Al Delala"... Ce
sont quelques chansons dont le public se
souvient encore, malgré des années
d'absence de Saïda Fikri, qui avait quitté
le Maroc pour s'installer aux Etats-Unis.
Saïda cherchait de nouveaux horizons et
voulait oublier son mal de vivre "artistique"
dans un pays où les artistes doivent trimer
pour survivre.
Le Rif — une région du nord du Maroc dans
l'axe montagneux prolongeant le Moyen Atlas,
du Cap Spartel et Tanger, à l'ouest,et
jusqu'a ahfir et saidia a l 'est, de la mer
Méditerranée, au nord, à la rivière
Ouargha au sud.
Le Rif est un ensemble rocheux sauvage et
accidenté, cisaillé par des « oueds »
(rivières) tumultueuses, des torrents et des
vallées encaissées. Le Rif a toujours été
la région des opposants et de l'insoumission
au pouvoir -- des sultans et roi du Maroc,
comme des différents colonisateurs
Abd el-Krim est né vers 1882 à Ajdir (Al
hoceima)au Maroc , fils d'un qadi (juge
islamique)de la tribu Aït Ouriaghel (ou
Waryaghal)et décédé le 6 février 1963 au
Caire en Égypte), de son vrai nom Mohamed
ben Abdelkrim Al Khattabi (محمد بن
عبد الكريم الخطابي), était
un chef rifain dans le Rif, zone berbère au
nord-est du Maroc. Il est devenu le chef d'un
mouvement de résistance contre la France et
l'Espagne au Maroc, puis l'icône des
mouvements indépendantistes luttant contre
le colonialisme.
The Rif (/Arif in Berber, er-Rif الريف
in Arabic) is a mainly mountainous region of
north Morocco, from Cape Spartel and Tangier
in the west to Cape Tres Forcas (Ras Tleta
Madari) and Melilla in the east, and from the
Mediterranean Sea in the north to the river
of Ouargha in the south. It is part of the
Cordillera Bética that also includes the
mountains of Southern Spain. The Rif
mountains are not part of the Atlas Mountains
but belong to the Gibraltar Arc or Alborán
Sea geological region. Rif might have its
origin in Arif, a Berber word or from Arabic
language meaning countryside.
The people of the Rif are Berbers of north
Morocco who call themselves Imazighen.
