Singh Kaur was a talented vocal artist and
caucasian western convert to Sikhism. Her
music has been compared to that of the the
celtic sounds of enya. Sadly Singh Kaur
passed away a few years ago (may waheguru
bless her soul in eternal bliss).

New Orleans Sikh Temple - Hurricane Katrina
Sikh Miracle: Although water was thigh-high
in the temple, the scriptures were found
floating on the surface, undamaged.
Bausman, his friend, a Sikh from a Sikh
organization and a man they met during the
trip eventually found the temple. The doors
were fallen in and the water was about four
feet deep. Bausman put on rubber waders to
safely walk through the water. And in the
prayer room, as sunlight shone down through
the one unbroken, stained-glass window onto
the opaque water, Bausman discovered
something amazing. The island where the book
and other sacred items rested close to the
floor rose up with the thigh-high water.
Everything else in the temple had been
destroyed, but the scriptures, covered with
bluish silk, remained intact and untouched by
the flood.

Lord of the Universe. Through the True Name,
I have become spotlessly pure. O my mind, you
shall find peace through the Word of the
Guru's Shabad. Working for the Perfect Guru,
no one goes away empty-handed.
