Skee-Lo was an anomaly in the rap world of
the '90s: instead of spinning violent gangsta
tales or extolling the virtues of marijuana,
Skee's songs were profanity-free, good-time
stories with a self-deprecating sense of
humor. Skee-Lo was born in Poughkeepsie, NY,
and moved to Riverside, CA, at age nine. He
was turned on to rap by Kurtis Blow records,
admiring their down-to-earth quality. His "I
Wish" single, with a video that parodied
Forrest Gump, became a huge hit on radio and
MTV during the summer of 1995, and his
identically titled debut album was released
shortly thereafter. Five years later, Skee-Lo
resurfaced to issue his long-awaited
follow-up I Can't Stop.

show on 102.7 KIIS FM. Beginning Sunday,
November 16h at 10PM, DJ Skee will feature

DJ Skee is known for producing and marketing
some of this generations biggest artists from
Snoop Dogg to Travis Barker, and frequently
performs at major venues and exclusive events
across the globe for A-list celebrities and
Fortune 500 companies alike. His
accomplishments and experience cross many
fields. He owned a marketing agency
responsible for product launches like the
T-Mobile Sidekick and Chrysler 300/Dodge
Charger, and SRC Records. In 2007, he
launched Skee.TV as a new media lifestyle
show available online and via mobile, and to
date has launched over 25 million video
streams. Most recently, DJ Skee is producing
some of todays hottest music videos, and
earlier in 2008, he received the most
nominations (8 total) in Justos Mixtape
Awards for projects with artists like Jay-Z,
The Game, Akon and more. DJ Skee has been
featured everywhere from MTVs TRL to CBS 60
Minutes.
